(unless you want 3/4 up front, in which case pick that many!)

Not Davies.

The best two players are Forster and Murray, I think as a partnership I might go for Forster and Owusu. Although leaving Murray on the bench seems crazy!

Forster or Owusu = impact subs

Glenn = class

Davies = shite

Bollocks is Forster an 'impact sub'. For a start he's our captain, and a good one at that.

Forster and Owusu played together at Reading and were a very useful combination. Owusu, the ideal target man, big and strong and winning a lot in the air. Forster feeding off the lay-offs and running the channels. I also think that Murray could play with Owusu. So in order of preference :-
1) Forster and Owusu
2) Murray and Owusu
3) Forster and Murray
Davies works hard but lacks the class and finesse of Forster and Murray. He also lacks the aerial power of Owusu.
These combinations are based purely on which I feel would work best for the team. The jury is still out as to whether Forster and Murray actually work as a combo.

Nah. He whines at ref's, he dives, and he moans at his team mates. Shit captain.

Last season showed how he hasn't got the fitness to play every game.

Who was top scorer then?

But his goals/games ratio since being with us suggests otherwise.

He looks fitter than certain members of the squad who are MUCH younger than him.

You miss my point.

Like Ryan Giggs for example, I don't think he's a player who can play EVERY game. Now we have four forwards, I think he should be rotated. He's a cracking player, but if we're going to get the best out of him then he shouldn't be expected to run around for 90 minutes every week.

In the games since the paint pot defeat, he's been "running on empy" i feel. Last season his form nosedived towards the end, and I can see him having a similar burnout this year.

As a sub at this stage though, he could be ideal with his energetic style of play against a tired defence, which is a bit different to the other three.

No, I agree. His legs can't handle playing 2 games in a week, he puts in 100% every single match. I think it's easy to say he's brilliant and his work rate means he should start every game, but it's not just not sensible to do that I don't think. I like the look of Davies, despite his lack of confidence at the moment. I would play Murray without question because he scores in almost every game he's that good, and I would have Davies and Forster rotating with him. I'm not someone who wants to have 4 strikers, I think 3 natural strikers with others in the squad who can play there is plenty. I don't think Owusu is strictly neccessary, but he's a brilliant option to have. Russell Slade knows how to use all 4, I have very little doubt. :cool:

Murray and Forster currently - however the long term partnership will be Murray and Davies.

Forster is brilliant, simple as that - forget his age, he managed to play on his own up front away at the runaway leaders for 90 minutes and did an amazing job of it.

Murray is absolute class and the best finisher we have - he will score the goals we need if given the service. Anyone who says that him and Forster can't play together can't have seen the assists he had provided him in the early part of the season?!

Davies needs confidence, the work ethic is definitely there and his goal record is good previously... he will come good, just needs a couple of goals and he clearly cares about his new team - 3/4 games is not the time to judge a goalscorer.

Owusu I havent seen play as yet, but from what I heard on Sat he was probably MOM - a good option, and has played with Forster before.

Those who say we dont need 4 strikers must have forgotten when we only had one fit one!!

I do think that whatever 2 we have up top, the other 2 if fit should be on the bench as all 4 strikers play completely differently and pose a different threat.
