I reckon it's fake news. I've just seen him getting off the Spurs team bus at the Riverside.

So it’ll likely be the very real US Army we all end up fighting for rather than the fictional EU army. Forced into being Trump’s little cucks. Great.

And anyone that believes this is anything other than Trump trying to cling to power will believe anything.

As it always was.

The only difference between this and the mythical EU army is the EU army would have been lead by Great Britain, we'd have run it we'd have called the shots and we'd have been less likely to be shot at by Americans.

Now we're going to be America's lapdogs and second class citizens in any EU 'wars' which the UK would absolutely join in with anyway.

Yep. We have managed to manoeuvre ourselves into the unenviable position of cutting ourself loose from our greatest ally and simultaneously given up all negotiating power with our biggest potential trading partner.

We will effectively be ruled by Trump.

Strikes me as a rather blasé way of talking about 'wars' where people are going to die.

It was so sad watching Raab sat on the Andrew Marr naughty step trying desperately to avoid any criticism of Trumps obvious stupidity in pushing the region closer to war.

Any other world leader doing this sort of thing and I'm sure Mr Raab would have been quite vocal in his condemnation. Just as we end our forced austerity, Raab has to put our dwindling fleet back on to escort duty through the Strait of Hormuz and ramp up security for all our overseas bases and personel as they are now a target.

Absolutely. And herein lies the danger of shunning your nearest and closest allies and pinning all your hopes on a backward thinking super-state run by a narcissistic madman who everyone is terrified of. Jesus wept.

Well - in Libya - the Italians are backing the Government of National Accord while trying to get their hands on Libyan oil - while the French are backing the rival warlord Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar (probably for the same reason). So the 'closest' of EU allies are taking opposite sides in a civil war started by the Americans.

This can't be true.
It would be as if The Pentagon had no idea who their President is.

unlikely, we are currently outside the PESCO group (cooperation between EU military), the current head of EU military staff is a Finn. it would be led by who ever EU parliament appoints.

And people still wonder why Blair didn't equivocate about joining Bushes little middle eastern adventure ??? Basically politicians of all parties think twice about tugging the Americal tail. Apart from Corbyn's labour, obviously (and other politicians and parties who know damned well they will never ever be in a position where it is them that makes the decision).

Does Trump understand what he has done ???

I'm sure Trump will say " There will be many, many millions more people at MY funeral...… nobody knows more about funerals than me… "

Over tea Jnr asked if we were on the verge of WWIII.

My considered reply was:-

'No.
USA v Iran is fine the rest of us can deal with that.
But if you see Israel in the headlines, then we're in trouble'.

Lancing

If this is based on any truth then our Government must not side with the USA they are on their own on this one we had a reasonable agreement with Iran to limit their nucular wepons programme which Trump ripped up and with this murder Iran has officially said the agreement is now dead.

Trump is a gangster and it will be to our countries shame if we side with don't stand up to Trumps USA
