Just lately I have been a bit fed up with Top Gear and struggled to get past the first 10 -15 minutes or so before turning it off.

But tonight, John Humphries driving that 1963 micro car around the corridors of the BBC, and then Jeremy Clarkson driving it through the News room was great

Did you not watch the last episode, with them driving a CAR across the water?

Genius!

The minicar was quite possibly the funniest thing i have ever seen. When they were reading the news as he drove behind them was just CLASSIC!!!!!

...driving past when the news was on air, did that go out live or was it just staged, either way it gave me a chuckle.

Clearly staged - like every other piece they do on that show...

(doesn't mean I don't like it though!)

Seen it all before, which I assume is what Bry was referring to, as I certainly share the same opinion.
Last nights was a lot better.
Clarkson's column in The Sunday Times goes on about how 'staged TV' has ruined it for everyone in the industry

The mini car bit was very funny, and that Lambo looked absolutely awesome.

I had been in a relatively sombre mood all weekend until that point - I virtually pissed myself laughing!! Brilliant tv - in the lift and off to meetings - and carrying it through the foyer...fantastic - I WANT ONE!!:cool:

Wouldn't it be great if cities were filled with those micro cars?

The LAST series of Top Gear?? Surely the BBC are mad to stop making it?

Not sure that this is the LAST series, but it looks like they are going to have to relocate, because the owners the Dunsfold Park airfield in Surrey (where TG is filmed) sold the land for redevelopment last year - its going to have housing on it.

One of my fave shows, so hope they get something snorted.

I didn't think that last nights was great until the mini car which was hilarious but last week, that brilliant. How can you not find that funny

Assuming Snoob, by last week, you mean the Toyboata across The Channel.
As I said before the reason it just wasn't funny was because we've seen it all before.
There was rumour that the last series was the end, I can't help thinking they were talking that up so they could get another series, but now are short of ideas.
So we are left with rehashed stunts & scripts, which is why last nights was so much better, because it was back to what made TG enjoyable.
So I guess even if TG does return we will at least have a reasonably long break from it.
