It's been interrupted 3 times by 20-sec full screen & sound ads, but my problem is my broadband dongle signal can't cope with the HD stream, so I'm missing small chunks of video every few seconds. Is there any alternative?

Never download anything - you don't need to.

Go to fullscreen and that takes care of the ads
