Incredible to think how far Nigel Adkins stock has fallen over the past two or three years. If he gets the bullet again he'll struggle to get a job above League 2 level.

Can't believe that the fourth division has Tuesday night games between Carlisle and Luton, Plymouth and Orient, Portsmouth and York, and in the Conference Chester v Dover, Woking v Tranmere. It surely cannot be beyond the ability of the leagues to make Tuesday night games more 'local', not just for the fans, but for the team's too.

Or moving an arduous enough 300 mile journey from the South Coast to Lancashire from a 3 o'clock kick-off on Saturday to 1.15 on a Sunday lunchtime when Network Rail has decided to dig up half the track in Pendleside.

.....how about merging the two bottom leagues and sorting them out geographically into "League 1 North" and "League 1 South" with one promotion space plus one play off place to enter the Championship from each of the new L1's.......or is that a bit of a backward step!

Yes. I really took to the bloke when he kept the Southamptom pecker up by dismissing all his rivals, and pretending his Saints were top of the league when actually, WE WERE. The soppy former kit man pedicurist numpty.

I could have tolerated all of that but refusing a traditional guard of honour showed he has no class.

I don't think we need to revert to that, but a bit of common sense in fixture planning wouldn't go amis. Much of the Lower leagues get small enough crowds these days as it is, making a 300+ mile round trip on a Tuesday night isn't really right IMO.
