Who would YOU play if YOU were manager?:dasreich:

I'd go with...

Kuipers

El-abd (Had a superb game at Milwall, deserves to keep his place IMO)
Tunnicliffe
Virgo
Whing

Bennett
Crofts
Dicker
Davies (McLeod/Cox if not fit yet)

Forster
Dickinson

Just been thinking, we have brilliant depth in our team now compared to last season, 2 decent players for every position.:clap2:

I wouldn't say El-Abd was superb, he did okay. Which for him normally means not committing any horrendous mistakes!

My only slight change would be Navarro for Croft. as I prefer him, and then push Dicker further forward. I am sure Dicker could do a good job as the provider in midfield for Bennett and Davies or Cox, with Navarro as the anchor man.

I can't keep up with who's fit and who's banned these days but..

Kuipers
Whing
Elphick
Virgo
Tunnicliffe
Thornhill
Dicker
Navarro
A. Davies
Dickinson
C. Davies

In a Chelsea style 4-3-3 with both the Davies supporting Dickinson up top.

Cox playing just ahead of Dicker in an orthodox 4-4-2. I think that Dicker has the presence enough to cover Cox defensively, he's *that* good. Besides, we're at home and should be looking at spending more time attacking anyway.

El-Abd ALWAYS has a good game at Millwall and is then utter TRIPE for the rest of the season. He is adequate cover in this league but to think he made us wait to sign a contract just because he was alright at center mid under Wilkins for about three months.

I would play a youth or first year pro like Cook or Brinkhurst although this would be my line up...

Kuipers
Whing
Tunnicliffe
Virgo
Livermore
Bennet
Crofts
Dicker
Davies
Dickinson
Forster

Holding, allowing Dicker to get forward, Davies and Thornhill on the wings...

I suspect however we will see El-Abd, Crofts and Cox in place of Elphick, Dicker and Thornhill.

Att - Forster
Att - Dickinson

RB - Tunnicliffe
CB - Elphick
CB - Virgo
LB - McNulty

RW - Bennett
CM - Dicker
CM - Thornhill
LW - A Davies

F - Dickinson
F - Forster

Subs - 7 this year don't forget!

If all are fit it has to be......

Kuipers

Whing
Tunnicliffe
Virgo
Mcnulty

Bennett
Dicker
Thornhill
A Davies

Forster
Dickinson

For this weekend id have Whing at lb, Tunicliffe at rb with Elphick cb with Virgo. If Thornhill not fit id have Croft in middle with Dicker.

I still think the lack of a proper left back is effecting the whole balance of the team, and I don't understand why we didn't get one on a months loan.

The best option is playing Whing at left back but by doing this we weaken the right back slot and also it means we still don't have a settled back four.

Until this is sorted, presumably by the return of one of the injured pair, then we will struggle to achieve clean sheets.

But to answer the original question, as long as Dicker plays, the new Davies, Dicko and Forster up front I am confident of victory tomorrow.

Dunno, but I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. I went to the first game of the seaosn, then went on holiday so haven't seen anything since opening day. I don't know any of the new players at all and it all feels a bit odd, almost as if the season starts again tomorrow.

SEAGULLS!
