well the trains run on tracks powered by an electrical charge from the LIVE track which provides the train with electricity for it to power up and run!
Over head power cables are also common!

No Crabtree, that's on the continent. I think Chappers wants to know how they work here. I think it's a little key that's turned on the engine everytime it stops at a station.

A great documentary on Train travel is usually found on childrens TV, its called Thomas The Tank Engine, I believe the Fat Controller deals with train movement!

I do apologise, well at least I did'nt ruin it with petty squabling that other members seem to do most times! Mine was in a humerous (well to me anyway) fashion and was no way intending to be petty!
