Standing behind the goal at Oldham, 2:55 pm.

Newspapers are being ripped up, balloons being blown up.

The stand is packed full of Albion followers. Each has that smile on their faces, a glow about them.

Suddenly the humming begins. Everyone loves and knows this tune.
It slowly gets louder and louder.
Shivers start going down your spine. Your body tingles.

"and we going up to win the cup, for Sussex by the Sea"

"ALTOGETHER NOW..............."

Absolutely marvellous scenes.

That feeling just can't be beaten.

Whether you are in the first, second or third division, we are proud, we are Albion.

I wont be there but in a pub watching Soccer Saturday, might even get up early for Soccer AM aswell just so the season kicks off in a decent fashion!
I shall be going to a few away games this year, handing in my AMS application today.

Have fun to everyone who's going tomorrow and cheer on the boys to hopefully and nice first victory:clap:

This so reminds me of Southend away - baking hot, Southend overrun with Brighton, beers, sun, Bobby Zamora signed up, I even had GOSBTS on the mobile phone for the first time when it was a novelty.

Absolutely gorgeous scenes - until the football started and the trouble after the match all kicked off.

And you'll be glad to know that Reedy just called me to say that Pete has dropped out, so we will actually have a tiny bit of leg room in the car.

That feeling just can't be beaten.

I can barely stand the excitement. Been looking forward to this since the end of the season. Will sing at the top of my voice. Lets hope nathan Jones hair doesn't run away from him again!

My house
To be honest I've not been that excited about this season so far. Maybe its living far from home, being a poor student and now also working Saturdays that has distracted me, but having read this thread and feeling the shivers down the spine has finally snapped me out of the apathy(?) of the summer.

My girlfriend's birthday's on Sunday, but I'll be celebrating the first 3 points of the season!!

Have a good one for me. Just wish I could be there, but the idea of a romantic weekend in Oldham went down like a lead ballon!

:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

The long drive will be worth it just for the scene which Artois has just described. Going on my own into the stand so where are people going to be sitting? Is it sit where you like?
