How difficult is it to get airplay on local and London radio stations these days??

Bloody hard. The 'music stations' all have pre set play lists. I had a big row with Richard Lindfield in the PA box about it - he said that so called 'Southern' FM wouldn't play it 'cos 'it's not their style' and the playlist is selected in London anyway. He did say that Nicky Kegg-Chevlin would maybe play it as 'an oddity' on the Breakfast Show. I'll take one in to Portslade tomorrow, then maybe it's time for our first email campaign ...

not their style? sick of hearing that in relation to radio stations - a radio stations style should be what the listeners wish to hear - anyhow very very old argument there....
