To be fair, they do make it clear on their site that the majority of their shirts are cotton, they do some in polyester, which they indicate. The cotton ones are pretty good quality, and very comfortable, unlike the original Bukta ones. That said, the customer service is rubbish, shouldn't have put it on sale without some stock.

I've just ordered a retro Botafogo shirt from Toffs.

Need it for a 'S' fancy dress party - going as a subbuteo - still working on the base structure

I spoke to them a couple of days ago and was told the material had been delayed but this was due in this week and the shirts would be made by next week. Told them that they need to keep people updated with an email and was told that this was a good idea and they would look into it! Not impressed by the customer services side of Toffs and have my doubts that the shirts will be produced in the near future!

Ordered mine on 21 Sept (5 weeks ago). As it was a fat b'stard size I had a 4-6 week wait.
Arrived this morning

Mine arrived today, and I like it a lot. Seems to be well made, fabric is comfy (not like the original). I think it was worth the wait, hope yours arrive soon, and you like them too.

I hope mine is waiting for me when I get home then, although I'm already regretting not going for a number having seen the above.

I'm sure if you return it to them they'll sew one on for you if you ask, they are actually quite a decent bunch

Mrs Bozza, who ordered the shirt for me, and has just checked and it says it's en route. She's moaning she didn't get an email telling her that.

In fact, she's gone on to say: "Toffs need to get their act together, IMHO and their website, while they're at it." She's a placid sort normally, but she seems to be riled by the way Toffs go about their business.

Just seen this and rung home and its there! I have gone for the same as Superphil with the number 8 on the white patch and I am now trying to get out of work early! It looks like it may have actually been worth the wait after all!

I can only imagine it's a one size fits all job. The general shape of the number is right, it is just compressed, and the white patch is too small. I'm not overly fussed, the rest is very nice.

Probably best not use this image as the real thing. I made it up almost entirely in Photoshop!!!

Fair enough, the photos I can find have it in slightly different fonts on different shirts anyway. One is a proper old fashioned '8' and another is not too dissimilar to your mock up.

In 1977/78 and 1978/79, the shirt number was in this font:

in 1979/80, the shirt number was in this blocky font:

One of the problems with the font they have used is that it's the blocky one for the 1979/80 season, yet the collar would make the shirt one from 1977/78. The other, of course, is that the font they have used is too condensed.
