Pork pie land.
Yesterday Russell Slade said "We're speaking to another player tomorrow, and we're also speaking to other players out of contract and to agents alike.

"We would hope to do a little bit more business before we come back on Tuesday."

Any news about today's talks?

The implication is that we are talking to a player contracted to another club and we have obviously been given permission to discuss terms having had a bid accepted - my dream signing would be Brett Pittman although it might be the Southend player Tony Grant who last week was rumoured to be subject to a bid!

following on from the recent signings, apart from Dicker, im expecting someone that nobody has guessed at or indeed ever heard of.

I am sure there are plenty of opportunities to sign players, if we stick to the theme...how about Ball or maybe Nutt, perhaps a German called Willy or Helmut!

Mchunt turned us down,as he felt he would be ridiculed for his size by cox and dicker

...apparently he is a keeper, but lacks confidence, he flaps around too much when the ball comes anywhere near his area!

McHunt was disappointed Beevor went to Colchester as he thought he would have been great in the hole behind the striker

After speaking to a Bournemouth supporting mate last night I'm not sure I'd like to get Brett Pittman.

I was told that he is a very lazy player that can only be bothered in certain games. He's a Bournemouth lad, and if he can only be bothered in certain games for his home town club I doubt he'd be much better for us.

i dont understand all this footballing mumbo jumbo terminology, just dive into the box and ram it home,..

Its a shame Lee Beevers did indeed decide to go to colchester,it would have been sublime listening on the radio to a passing move involving Beveers Cox and Dicker.

maybe fans have unrealistic expectations of players he is very young so there will always be levels of consistency, look at Walcott - slated for his performance in the under 21's but for the most exciting young player in the country. and if I was a Bournmouth fan I would be talking him down too
