bens grandad is just a sad old fucker who is bitter because down the lodge he got in a drunken fantasy with a bunch of no hope clowns and had this fantasy of creating,on the back of the albion,a money making(for him and them.not the albion)scheme involving 6 million square feet of retail and 800,000 feet of office space at the beeding cement works.

archer laughed in his face and sold the club to dick knight.

he lost his fantasy, the millions he was promised by his masonic chums and blames dick knight to this day,

I should really just ignore somebody as stupid as you appear to be, but before so doing I must say that you are totally and utterly way off of the mark the actual reason the takeover that I was involved in didnt go ahaead was entirely due to the misrepresentation of the true picture of BHA and its financial situation from Archer.

I should go and find an air raid shelter in case hitler comes looking for you!!!!!!

Look fellas, we've now played the top 3 twice and Palarrse in 5th and we still have to play the 3 clubs below us and the 2 clubs immediately above us again - we MUST win these games - Feb is a massive month with Leics & Crewe and April with Millwall & Wendy - win those four and we will be safe.

I also predict that five teams will score less than 50 points this season. There have been loads of draws: 220 of the 712 played to date - if this ratio continues there will be 17 more draws this season than last - thats a loss of 34 points.

I predict we will get 48 points and finish 5th from bottom ....

What is the solution to our problems Ernest it is not suifficient to just say sack Magoo or Dick Tight. Give us an insight into a possible solution as you see it.

There is no solution , the solution was in 1997 and if certain people hadn't been so keen to take the first offer that came along then someone with a bit more money and a bit more knowledge might have arrived on the scene.
Let's face facts, it would have been impossible to have done a worser job than Knight and his cronies have done running the club so there must have been a good chance that if someone else had taken up the challenge we would have had a new stadium years ago and the club would certainly be in a better financial state.

The reason that I do not post when we win, as you say, is because I expect that every week. So to do it wouldn't in my mind be astounding although we have only done it 6 times so far this season.

What annoys me is that it is plain for all to see that this squad needs improving but we are still mucking about looking at players to buy and then get the answer there is no money available.

The players that are within our price bracket whatever that may be should have beensorted out ages ago and the final deal be done during the transfer window not as is happening 'still looking'.

I get slated because I have distinct views on the duty of the Chairman and one of these duties it to provide his employees (MM) with the tools to do his job properly (players). How he does this, especially in our financial situation, is his problem not mine or the 5,000 hard core supporters.

We cannot continually hide behind the' legal costs of Falmer' as an excuse for our continued march towards relegation subject to the inadequacies of other teams around us, this may well be a justifiable reason for our financial position but is nopt the sole reason for our poor results.

Having said that I didnt expect to win today but the unexpected results are the onjes that keep you up or send you down e.g Millwall at home.

So we shouldn't use the legal cost of Falmer as an excuse? Why not? This is isn't a level playing field for us - we play in a temporary home with a small capacity. This limits commercial opportunities and the costs are a massive financial drain on the club. This situation is hardly likely to make players want to play for us.

We've been seeking a new home for years and it's cost us millions. And still we have to fight on. How on God's green earth do you reckon this ISN'T an excuse???

he laughed in your face,he knew beeding would cost a bomb for the cliff work and the asbestos alone,he saw you for the chancer clown you are and he laughed you out of his office.

he sold to dick because he had the fans on his side and he wanted to get rid of a liability(the club sans assets) whilst securing the maximum return on the stanley loans and his pitiful financial input.

Whatever you may say.

I am not prepared to carry this on as it is done and dealt with and now water under the bridge but unfortunately people like northstandnorth do not have the educational interlect to hold a meaningful discussion without resorting to insults and abuse like hilter missed me during the war - very intelligent.

I was just pointing out that his idea of shops and offices etc making me and the consortium a lot of money was way off of the mark.

Not entirely sure why Hart was at right midfield and Carole up front.

It should have been the other way around.

That is a reason for our financial position but as I have said cannot be an excuse for bad results or performances etc which result in us getting relegated.

As with any business there are problems that the owners have to overcome in order to provide their workers with the best available equipment to do their job. How they manage to do this is their concern so the responsibility for buying players etc to enable MM to do the job for which he is paid falls on the shoulders of the directors of the company i.e Dick Knight and The Board of Directors. If the reason for not providing that equiopment is lack of finance then again it is their responsibility to obtain this finance or the business will not survive in its present form.

For some obscure reason, you revel in this club suffering. You are a very strange man. You never post when we win and say how well we played. Yet you post this when we lose to a very good team. :nono:

in brians defence, i am not sure that is what he is saying at all...he is stating a fact. x amount of games = y amount of points.

My concern in all of this is apart from palace, we have not beaten anyone else away....last year we were beating the likes of sheff utd, west ham etc etc away...this year we are not.

Its just an observation...nothing more.

I think Crewe are doomed, and I would perm any four from Us , Sheff wed, Leicester and Plymouth.

Saints have shed loads in the bank and I would have thought they will buy their way out...

if leicester sack levein, they will get out of it. pulis always seems to keep teams up, so plymouth should be safe, and who knows what millwall will do as there manager is still pretty much untested

crewe are definently down, and i think we could be joining them

Exactly, any idiot could have given us back to back championships, victory at Cardiff, victories against Mickey Mouse teams such as Leeds, West Ham, Sunderland, Palace etc.

Should have learnt by now to read the post before pushing the submit reply button and then I would have realised I had pushed the e and r letter at the same time.

I will give you a very simple hypothetical question.

Mr A wanted your car and knew you would sell it for £1,000 and offered you the £1,000 asking price + agreed to take over the outstanding HP debt of £9,000.

Mr B wanted your car but said that because of the way that you had mistreated it he was only prepared to pay the asking price of £1,000. with perhaps a token payment to the HP company.

Irrespective of the value of the car whose offer would you accept?
