Should penalties be ditched and the FA Cup go back to the old format of never ending replays until a result?...

I must admit that I prefer the old replays format myself, it used to make for a much more exciting competition than with the penalties format in my opinion.

after the replay has finished in a draw each team should play for 10mins with 10 players, then 10 mins with 9, then 10 mins with 8 until a goal is scored.

EXCELLENT

I would go for another option. Play a game and replay but at the end of 90 minutes in the replay reduce the teams by 1 player and play for another 10 minutes or until someone scores. If after 10 minutes no one has scored then reduce by another one or 2 players and so on until a goal is scored.

for Junior Seagulls...

the Brighton/Palace rivalry really kicked off after an FA Cup tie that went to two replays (1976?)... the second replay was at Stamford Bridge (imagine that happening now...!)

At the end of 120 minutes have the players wives suck them off, he who comes first wins.

This would never happen but I'd LOVE to see play continue indefinitely after the 30 mins are up, with a golden goal to win.

Why even bother with the 30 minutes? I think drawn games should go to one replay, but if that is still level after 90 minutes, then in the time honoured tradition of playgrounds and parks all over the country, NEXT GOAL WINS! And keep playing until some bugger does score.

Sorry to be pedantic but it is Challis. Alan Mullery throwinga handful of coins on the pitch saying 'thats what you are worth' to this day I don't think anybody is exactly sure to whom it was addressed, the ref, the Palace Players or supporters.

I would have the penalty shoot out before the extra time is played so that team A would know that they have won if nobody else scores so would defend like f..k and team B would know they have lost so would throw caution to the wind to score. That would make an exciting 30 mins.

Or if even after 90 mins bring on one player each every 10 mins and then bring on another ball every 15 mins. and play 2 halves of extra time of 45 mins each.

Unlimited subs but selected from the crowd with a clapometer deciding who goes on. The managers are also allowed to swap one of their outfield players with one of the oppositions.

Also, similar to Bar Billiards, there ought to be a big inflatable mushroom in the middle. If a player or ball hits it then that sides score is reduced to zero.

Keepers ought to be made to wear those inflatable sumo wrestling outfits and wingers with ostrich outfits like this

Outfield players would have to pair up in 2s or 3s like in the 3 legged race with a goal awarded for the most comical e.g. Peter Crouch and Leon Knight

sure i have heard about a game at the goldstone ( during war ? ) in which both teams agreed to carry on after a number of replays. People were leaving for thier tea and coming back before someone scored. I may be speaking complete rubish though

As I voted,48% favoured replays until a winner.Jolly Good,too.

But I bet Alex,Jose and "Rocky" Wenger wouldn't let it happen!
