Today's Argus - Orlandi may be back for Saturday

According to the Argus this morning, Andrea Orlandi will not need surgery on his knee and may even be fit to play v Millwall. As we already knew, Keith Andrews will also be in the mix for selection.

Bruno has also resumed training. Nothing about Ashley Barnes though.

This is very good news, as it gives us many more midfield options, but still leaves us precariously thin up front.

Bruno's not getting back in, neither is Andrews.
I guess Orlandi for SD, which doesn't seem right either.

Unless we go for something crrrraaaazzzzzzzyyyy.

We've been precariously thin up front, all season.
Get Saturday out of the way, and then have 2 weeks to take stock.
We'll know who will be fit and when, by who is bought and money spent on the 2nd.

Would like to see Orlandi in for Spanish Dave. I could see Oscar swapping Ince and Andrews but the kid deserves to keep his place.

Bruno will regain his place whe fully fit, simply because he has the ege on Calderon as much as I love the man

It's a tough call.

I think we need Andrews for Reading and QPR.
Ince needs to play esp at home against a team who haven't started yet.
But Andrews should have some game time before Sept.

Who'd be a manager.

I bet Oscar would rather have too many options in midfield that too few. At least he can have a potentially game changing bench to work with once these guys are back.

Orlandi will 100% be in when fully fit.

Andrews and bridcutt will replace ince and crofts for sure, but think he will wait for us to lose a game for the latter two to come in.

Glad you cleared that up.

I was fretting about our club, but knowing you are always there to put us right means we can sleep easy in our beds.

Reviewing where we are in a free two week period...who would have thought

That's olden days talk.

You pick the side to do the job, against the opposition.

There's no point having 2 or 3 players for the same position if you're never going to play them.
At home to Millwall is a completely different job to away at QPR.

But GW already knew that.

One day my opinions will be as important as yours when discussing a specific point.
In the meantime though I'll keep trying.

I actually disagree, and it's got nothing to do with pro-Calderon man-love. I think Calde is better than Bruno now, not because Calde has got better, but because Bruno has never come close to recapturing his early form.

Ince more than deserves to keep his place. Crofts too for that matter. The only change for me would be Orlandi for Dave and hopefully a stronger bench.
