No, not the win over Chelsea.

I went to my local park and witnessed 3 different age groups of kids football training. Now nothing amazing in that, but for the first time in what must be 30 years I saw at least 5 or 6 Albion shirts in each group. Not only that but others playing Tennis and also jogging wearing the stripes.

For the first time I can ever remember I only saw the odd Premiership shirt and being totally out numbered by the Albion.

I love hearing things like this, and it should not be underestimated the effect that a result like today's can have on some of these kids.

Only a friendly perhaps, but Brighton beating Chelsea...I bet there are some Chelsea "supporting" kids across Sussex who will be talking to their Albion supporting mates after today and maybe, just maybe, reconsidering their alleigances.

My son (aged 10), his best mate is a Chelsea fan. He can't wait to rip into him when he next sees him.

Yes. I work in Brighton with Chelsea "fans" who didn't even consider trying to get a ticket for today's game. Gardening or shopping I assume.

It's good news and now that we have numbers going this will only continue-

14 years and a lost generation maybe, but the seeds of the future are well and truly sown.

I work with a chelsea fan too but to be fair he goes to watch them a lot and was there today, he'll still be getting it both barrels though!

Saw a load of kids on a football training course in Preston Park the other day, there was one Arsenal shirt, one England shirt and about 15 Albion shirts.

All joking aside this is what we need-as a club long term, why do people need to go out of area,a clever devious move by the club to have Spurs and now Chelsea down here indeed..

Great deal in the club shop today - my nephew (whose dad supports Chelsea) bought TWO Albion shirts, and was proudly wearing one of them around Haslemere this evening!

... and not too silly on the buy one get one free shirts deal the club have been doing, kind of free advertisment I guess.

until they produce the new shirt for this season,no just joking, great to see and pleased that kids no longer see us as an embarrassment and will happily wear the colours with pride, just imagine if we get to the Premier.

I was at Wembley today, and saw kids in FOUR separate groups, in Albion shirts.

Exactly what I posted on another thread. Why support a team of losers who aren't even local when you can support a 3-1 winning side kids? It's a win-win.

The rise of Albion colours on show around town shows no sign of abating - from parks and gardens to supermarket aisles to public toilets to people just walking down the street. Fantastic!

Almost the same with my nine year old boy. He can't wait for school to begin again to rip into some of the plastics in his school :)
