To those non STH's who think they need to unite.......

As a NON STH at Withers, do you now own a ST for the Amex ?

Please think again.

I assume those who are concerned have been reguarly attending Withdean games?

If so, I cannot see you having ANY problems getting a ticket for games at the Amex - dare I say, even the 1st game!!!

With about 1000 seats being offered on a game by game basis (more if the away end is half sold, more again if the club don't use all their 500 reserved for comps, and more if an exchage is in place) there should be plenty to satisfy ANYONE who attended reguarly as a non STH at Withers.

Even if just the 900 or 1000 are available. I am sure the club will make these available to those with a purchase history.

Given that we had 4500 STH at Withders, comps and away fans probably took this figure closer to 5500 with an average gate below 8000.

This means it would be fair to say 2500 of you were reguarly attending without being STH's

How many of these people now have a ST at the Amex. I am guessing well over 50% which should mean, even for the 1st game, if offered to those with some loyalty, there will be enough to go around.

As a test, answer the poll, only if you were not a STH at Withers.

Early doors, but if was representative of the Albion community as a whole, it would suggest of the 2500 fans who paid per game at Withers, only 750 of them have not bought an Amex ST, so the 900 seats would be more than enough to accomodate them.

Shit man, I live in LINCOLN. I am a student. I can't afford a season ticket, nor the necessary travel to get one! I'm still hoping to come down to Brighton and camp out if needs be for a ticket to the first game at the AMEX. It seems like you're insinuating that I'll have less rights than others? Forgive me if I'm wrong of course, but if I'm not, f*** off from your high horse, I'm a Brighton fan too, and if I suddenly have problems going to all the away games that I would of been able to go to 3 years ago in the Championship, it'll say it all really. I don't understand why people seem to have so much of a problem against people who simply haven't been able to go and see us play at the Withdean regularly, have less than 10,000 posts on here or can be somehow validated to fit into the 'Official Brighton fans' group some of you seem to be forming.

Again, apologies to TC if this isn't what he was getting at, but the rant to me is still valid anyway, regardless.

Why do you think that ? As a white member, if i wanted a ST at the AMEX, i was pretty far down the line of priority, including friends of Withdean STH who could have never been before.

I made a conscious decision not to buy a ST this year, and i'm not bleating about it here, more to point that the Club do not always do what you or i think they are going to do.

FYI -I'm part of a group of 6 NSTH who go to about 10 home + 10 away games a season.

The White, Blue and Gold (STH's) from previous seasons were for figuring out priority for away games only.

Whenever a home game has looked like selling out (SOTON, Hudds, Sheff Weds, Pompey (although it didn't)), the club have only sold to those who are on the club database.

For the 1st game, if you have not bought a Season Ticket, the only way you will be on this database will be to have bought a home ticket for the season just gone.

Rowdey, based on what I am saying, as long as the club to not open up those 900/1000 seats to anyone, as long as you buy as soon as you can, I reckon you will be fine.

Viper: Not insinutating you have less rights. You are harping on about why you have not got a ST. Fair enough, but this thread is about people like yourself, and how it should be a lot easier than you think to get a ticket to a game this season, as many of those you were competing against last season for the pay per game tickets are now STH's themselves.

Naturally demand for the 1st game and some others will outstrip the supply. I was simply saying that as long as the club make these tickets available to regular attendees at Withers first, then those regular attendee's should not have a problem, if they apply in time.

Maybe you are moaning because you did not attend any games at Withdean? Maybe you also though it is a waste of time to buy away tickets thru the club? If this is you, then wake up and smell the mustard. You are unlikley to get a ticket to the 1st game

Interesting theory you have there.

You think that despite the fact that ST sales have increased by 400%, there will be no increase in demand for casual tickets?

The demand will be there, of this I have never been more certain.

To be fair I think you are way of the mark. I agree with the thread starter, you know the situation i.e they'll be 1000 odd tickets available if you want to go to a game then you need to get organised and buy it when they come on sale.

I appreciate that you might not know when you'll be back from Lincoln or when you can get cheap train tickets etc but you can hardly hold the club accountable for that. Sorry to be so blunt but unfortunately that's how it is now.

Damn you success!

Many fans living in exile didn't go to Withdean last season but still went to numerous away games , I would guess the majority also would not have bought away tickets from the club as most were POTD ( I personally went to 1 home and 2 away booked via the ticket office plus 5 aways that were POTD). Why should they excluded from trying to book a ticket for the 1st home game at Falmer ?

I agree with the thread starter on this. I went to only SCC at home this year but most of the away games, always booking tickets through the club regardless of POTG. When booking one of the away tickets I asked the question about getting a ticket for the first game at Falmer and was told with my booking history I would be well up the list. I don't think they give preference to home or away booking history so long as you are on the database.

Would of loved a ST and toyed with the idea but being a exile and with work commitment, I just couldn't justify it.

Praying I get a ticket for that first game!!

Between us, me and my dad only managed four games (2 home, 2 away) but hopefully we'll be on the database. I think the key for us for the first Amex game is to just be on the ball and check the website every day to see if they've gone on sale. Fingers crossed!

Not what I said. I said that of the current demand for pay per game, over 50% of these people will not be in the melting pot for one of the 1000 tickets on sale. So that is less from the current database.

Yes, there is going to be massive demand to see a game at the Amex, especially the 1st and big fixtures, however if the club sell 1st to those who have a booking history, those who were regular pay per game punters this year, should not have a problem next year. Sorry if the chap from Lincoln don't agree.
