I have strapped by ankle like they said, and it still aches, but its better, however, when I strap it, I get a sharp pain on the inside of the ankle, by the bone, ie the opposite side to the damaged ligament.

Any clues?

How do I stop it?

To help with the treatment, when I damaged my ligaments I was advised hot and cold treatment(Bag of Frozen peas followed by hot bath etc)

yep - you need it snug and it will be slightly uncomfortable but not painfully tight...strapping it will help move the fluid out and is useful in stopping you rolling over on it again as the ligaments are weak...but honestly all strapping does is gives you a mental reminder not to use it!!

You then have to burn the end of the stump to make sure the zombification virus does not make its way into the rest of the cadaver. The last thing we need is an entire Dave The Gaffer intent on devouring our brains.

Why didn't you put the peas in the bath? It would have cut the time in half to heal!

Maybe someone should strap Ernest's brain.

What do you mean they have?

Loosen the bondage a bit, gaffer and, when practical, try and keep your foot elevated. Ligament damage is a bastard thing to heal and when I first did my foot in, four years ago, I remember the doc saying it might have been more straightforward and quicker to get sorted if I'd broken it.

Trouble is, he never thought I'd be so f***ing stupid as to take his advice as an instruction. :nono:
