I just don't understand how he has played at such a high level for his whole career. He must have some very good qualities but he's always looked crap to me.

Titus was supposed to be "the next big thing" - he was almost heralded as the second coming when he was younger. Ipswich to Newcastle for £6M, then free transfer to Wigan and ending up at Sunderland for £1M. England career disappeared at U21 stage and he seems to have wandered through his overall career on the verge of being dropped only to score a wondergoal or have a stunning match.
