Time to invest in a scarecrow

We know it is not acceptable and are trying to resolve the issue. Our problems this year has been the crows.

In past seasons we have replaced the seat numbers once during the season; this year we have now done it 5 times since Christmas. Each time we have done it with the small round numbers in paper or laminate we have watched the crows come down and start pecking them off.

Two games ago we re-numbered the whole stadium with square numbers under the seats. We were assured these were weather proof, unfortunately a promise that did not stand up to practice. We have also tried over-gluing the numbers but this hasn’t been effective either.

We are trying to get another set of numbers printed in time for the next match and during the close season will be working with printers to find some more permanent solution.

Shouldn't we invest in a scarecrow then? Or get some of the lesser used reserve players to dress up and scare the damn crows away? Or hire an eagle to do the job?

Modern invention.........................................paint. Plenty of time between May 3rd and July/ August as the althletics do not need many seats.

This situation sounds like an ideal opportunity for Dean White & Joe Gatting to justify their worth. That's assuming at least 1 of the 2 are semi-literate & White doesn't spend all his time with his ear welded to his mobile awaiting coded instructions from Wendy.

Nah, f*** it - get a scarecrow & stick a paint brush in it's hand. It'll be more effective.

Better make sure you don't come over the scarecrows tits before giving it a good seeing to though, especially if you've paid for the full service.
