Football fans getting the blame for this one, chanting at each other in the bar before punches started flying apparently.

Has horse racing taken over football as the new violence kick off place ?

That was savage beyond belief to go an kick someone already down in the head

Anyone regularly go to horse racing and is violence a regular thing?
I've seen a few videos on Twitter recently of fighting at race courses.

Sport of kings ???

If the kick to the head guy is ever caught I would hope for a serious custodial sentence. A kick to the head like that can kill or cause life changing damage. Many will blame this on drink but actions like that are beyond excuses.

The man is completely defenceless that is GBH for me, was sickening to watch.

Been racing only a handful of times. I was intrigued by the social dynamics, upper and lower classes rubbing shoulders in an alcohol soaked environment that, late on, felt it would ignite given the smallest of sparks. Intimidating in a word. Most attendees there to get excessively drunk rather than to watch the sport seemingly. Not surprised it’s now got a hooligan tag if that videos anything to go by.

Went to Royal Ascot a few times and there always seemed to be a big alcohol fueled punch up somewhere, albeit not as vicious as this was. Seemed as inevitable as the ticket scalpers and wide boys doing the 3 cup shuffle on the path from the station to the race course

Not banned, no.

But racecourses should be made all-seater and drinking banned in sight of the course.
