We have one of the worse midfield in this league. We will do well to stay up.Don't expect Wotton to improve things. He may have a hard shot like Johnson but is slow as f***.For the first time i believe we could go down now.

It is 1982/1983 revisted this is, we'll get through to the final of the Paintpot and get relegated. It is on the cards, if DK doesn't sort this shambles out.

The parallels to 83 have been made a lot. What did we do with our manager that time (I was only 3 at the time)?

Mike Bailey was sacked in December 1982 as the Albion struggled near the bottom to be replaced temporarily by George Aitken and Jimmy Melia and due to the cup run Melia got the job full time. The cup run went fine and we got to Wembley but we were shit in the league and got relegated.

I have been a staunch Adams In man but am begining to wonder as todays defeat was completely down to Adams, White & Booker making the wrong substitutions at the wrong time.

Exactly, a case of deja vu.

My father sits in the the north stand with an assortment of bobble hats and flask and blanket types. According to him, today was the first time this lot has really booed with gusto. Once you've lost this lot the game is well and truly up.

So an early poor run led to a manager being fired. He was replaced by a tandem, one of which kept the job after relegation? Ok. Thanks.

Was Melia in charge for cup games and Aitken for league games? Or was the decision not to keep Aitken based on something else? Seems a weird decision...

Melia due to his higher profile was deemed to be manager but technically they were joint managers till the end of the season.
