I think that's an element of it, but this season seems to have struck a better balance than last season did in terms of still having the over-arcing story (Red Angel/Red Bursts/Spock etc...) going on, but also telling stronger individual stories in each episode.

The thing with Star Trek is that there is an element of the fanbase which will always react negatively to anything new and complain that it "isn't proper Star Trek", especially when it's something like Discovery where there is an overlap with characters we've seen before such as Pike and Spock.

Much as I am enjoying Discovery, what I'm really looking forward to is Patrick Stewart playing Picard again in a whole new show later this year.

I just finished Eden last night and I thought that was excellent - I hope the rest is like that - from what you said it is.

It’s the same with Star Wars, just enjoy it!

Seeing his/her post count and join date, I don't think so.
Sigh. He is a serial troll when we lose but it is OK because he is GI Joe, Action Man and Uncle Albert rolled into one. You wouldn't say it to his face. Etc. Repeat Ad Nauseum.

Is it time for Hughton to step down?

When he was given the job i remember fans of other teams he'd managed saying that he was a boring/defensive/uncreative manager.

He's done a good job getting us to where we are now, but i can't ever see him being able to kick on as he is incapable of putting a team out to win a game, seeming rather to favour the defensive, pass it backwards and sideways shit that we are being served up at the moment.

I feel we should have sacked him and gone for Ranieri when he was available, or perhaps Pardew or Hughes if they'd want the job.

If you got rid of Hughton which you shouldn't but who would replace him ? Nathan Jones is a MASSIVE failure at Stoke so he is out, and I'd rather stick with Hughton than ever go for one of the Hughes, Moyes, Allardyce managerial merry go round

Someone who can put a team out that will play positive football. Curbishley or Megson would be a good shout.

Attack the post, not the postee.

I take it your quite happy watching this dross week in week out?

I’m more than happy with our club and team.

What’s it like watching the dull fare that Roy is giving you at Selhurst?

I must admit I am very disappointed in this post-match comment from CH.

"We looked for a reaction from the team after the Fulham game. I couldn't have asked for more."

Because frankly, we should have and could have asked for more. It wasn't a terrible performance, but it wasn't a great one either.

Yeah I agree with you there.
He needs to be demanding his players to be more clinical.

Just so predictable. Same team apart from enforced change after the warm up. Same tactics, no pressing until late second half and one error in the set up, sub was ready but unable to come on until 71st minute, must try harder to get them on, on time.

We must be so easy to scout on, no need for step ladders to look over the fence at our training ground. Just watch one of our games, that's it, job done.

It is boring turgid rubbish for the majority of each game.

Chris though will be so satisfied with that performance apart from the need for the scrappy goal missing from the outcome and the sub being a minute late. He is certainly in the results game not the entertainment business.

Ohhh, you *are* a moron. Thanks for clarifying that.

I really don't see what the point of trolling is. There's gotta be better hobbies that aren't as half as sociopathic or curmudgeonly.

Before I logged on I actually though 'I bet that nobber junior has started a 'Hughton out' thread. In related predictions: later he'll play computer games, watch a bit of dodgy porn, then **** himself to sleep. Kids, eh?

Edit: and (having taken a peek at the posts above mine) didn't that go well :lolol:
