tickets still available for opening home game doesnt that just go to show support has dropped before a ball has even been kicked! With the lack of decent signings and SC still in charge is this the way it will pan out all season with even more empty seats no wonder Falmer is such a pipe dream. Even a half full stadium against prem league opposition,!

Worthing
It has much more to do with thte footy season starting while everyone is still on holiday.

I will now have missed the strart of the season three years in succession due to family holidays (and a business trip this year).

When you have school age kids and a teacher as a wife, it always seems to work that way. It doesn't help also that my wife is unsympathetic to my plight of missing matches. :(

FG why do you always blame SC?... There is no other manager i would rather have incharge for this season, SC is fuckin superb! It's NOT his fault if he hasn't got the finances to do his job as he would like is it?

Twat.

Call me old fashioned, but I happen to believe that the criterion by which a game's attendance is measured is based on how many people turn up at the game itself, rather than how many tickets have been sold more than a week before the kick-off? :dunce:

Sky tele affecting BHA v QPR LOL! :lolol:
more like the prices Silent is charging the lack of investment on the playing side and the prospect of Albion being beaten!

its attitude like that that is killing football, so wood u never watch the Albion if they were on tele like Man U are all the time? They get plenty of support despite being on Tele all the time, so why not Albion - because of lack of investment in the team. Its all down to Silent and his campaign to dream of Falmer, thats why!

I agree the atmosphere is probably the worst in the league but even so its down to the fans to turn that around.

Winner, hands down, of the all time 'richest' post on this board. Pot, this is mister Kettle. I don't believe you've been introduced?

its the fact that we're only on TV 2 times a year, only recently have we been on 3 times!
If we were on TV all the time then I'd go to the games, but for now its the pub!

TV is killing football and you miss so much on the box. Theres the rain lashing in at you as the clouds break a fresh thunderstorm in the humid skyline, theres the smoke of something dodgy drifting from Silent around the ground, theres the smell of chips lingering with that smell of curry sauce with everything theres those beautiful gypsy girls in the sales caravan, the chance of a tasty PC bird frisking you as you enter, the singing of Peter Ward as his name disappears into the trees as you watch some nutter climb one then fall as the coppers chase them up and down the area of outstanding natural beauty the flag of Withdean a giant of all flags being waved to you as you grab a greasy burger and a fingernail inside special cruncy sausage and ya chips theres the sound of the Stranglers and the Clash as you enter and leave the ringing of sussex by the sea on hundreds as mobiles as everyone reaches into their pockets all at the same time better synchronisation than the mexican wave theres the odd chance you may see a goal like Harty belting it so hard the camera cant even catch the finish other than the net swaying in the cool wind let along the boot of huff and puff as he belts a concelation goal against the singers from west London, theres tso much you will be missing on the Tele, we dont get any adverts at Withdean afterall nor do we get interferance from atmospheric pressure in these high climate times, nor do we get cramp from sitting still so long as we get up fro the 1st 20 mins of each half as so many late comers forget to put their watches on and arrive so late, no do we get an irritating symbol and scoreline in the corner of the screen of view we are clever enogh to know the score we dont need and help by constantly displaying it nor do we get wally Andy Gray commenting on the game we get real entertainment supplied by real people in a real situation that cant be repeated and is instant we get real action no relayed we see the club and support it financially despite it all going to a pipe dream we are giving to the club in the most direct way we are supporters of the Albion and refuse to let these tele merchants dictate to us when are where we will support and see our team we dont give in we go to the games.

Done my time at Withdean and at Gillingham, and as my kids are fed up getting wet and cold on a Saturday they have decided they dont want to go anymore.
So after having 3 season tickets every year from Gillingham onwards its time to say to The Council"Get your f***ing Finger Out"you are losing this club support by the bucket load, and all you are doing is making people like me and my kids go to away games where grounds have Roofs over there stands/seats and lining there pockets with my hard earned money.

Thats why I am watching it on Sky TV dowqn the pub:angry:
