Tickets on the day

Just a thought, would it be feasible to sell tickets on a cash only basis at the park and ride sites.

Possibly a security risk ?

Sounds a little mad, but what about a mobile ticket van (like the club shop) parked at the park and rides sights, or outside Preston Park Station.

I think this is a major issue more with away fans turning up - however as away fans appear to be around 100 at present it doesn't really matter now.

I suspect there is some perfectly legal reason why this can't happen.

Why can't the do what they did before and sell tickets from the Argus shops in the various towns of Sussex.
It would be one less excuse for the people who complain about the booking fee and having to park in Brighton to get tickets.

They could be really flash and do what BA do - let you print off your own e-ticket. Would just need some way of checking it against a list at Withdean, maybe present the e-ticket along with original credit card and/or proof of id, driving licence etc.

Anyone with iternet access and a credit card can buy tickets on the day. Log on to Albion website up to two hours before kick off, buy ticket(s), pick them up at the collection point at Withdean. Couldn't be much easier really.

Until the new seats went in, the issue for the Albion was that games were nearly sold out.

That's no longer the case.

The current ticketing system is a bit primitive, and the lay-out of the Mill Road site doesn't help. But I can't see any good reason why a ticket office at Mithras House couldn't work well.
