Statement from the club.

"Due to unprecedented levels of applications for our Cup Final at Leeds, we will now be running a coach for the first time in our history "

Maybe we could BORROW some staff from the Leeds ticket office as your ground only seems to be HALF-FULL these days

Exactly. The situation at the ticket office is widely known so you should plan accordingly and either order well in advance of popular games, post an application or pop in on matchday if that is the only time you can get to brighton.

With defeatists like you it is no wonder this country is 2nd rate.

Imagine if we went up and started getting more than 6,000 for EVERY home game...
Imagine if we were wasting loads of money overstaffing the ticket office all the time when demand only picks up very occasionally. I wonder if you can.

And the extra computers needed to outsource the sales.
With a new stadium just two years away, what a waste of money when generally speaking the two people in the office (and helped out by office staff processing the season ticket sales) manage quite well.

Have I missed something, or can't you renew via the website these days and save yourself (and the club) the trouble of applying manually......

How much money would we be talking about to hire a couple more people part time and get them both a PC?

Rang up to check because I sent them off over a week ago first class and not had them back yet and leaving for the north early Friday morning before the post arrives...

Surely part of their job is to field questions re: tickets?

Its not just today though that this has been a problem. Before the Donny match Ali Jenkins who posts on here was on hold for nearly half an hour on the Saturday morning.

How many people DO work at the ticket office out of interest? Anyone know.

I don't think the ones who do work there do a bad job - they just don't seem to have much support or resources etc.

The ticket office does a remarkable job and has the added problem of a floating support who wake up for the big games.

They have the Easter Weekend to deal with as well, which probably is the reason you haven't got yours yet.

It's a well known problem by everything (well perhaps not everyone) and I knew that I would have a problem getting through on Tuesday but was patient.

Where would they go? Have you seen the cramped conditions? How long do you hire them for? One week here and there?
Very simplistic suggestion.

I wasn't having a pop at the existing staff - they do their best of course and I have always found them helpful.

Not sure they do a REMARKABLE job though. At the end of the day they are PAID for it.

Do the people manning the phones for Glastonbury do a REMARKABLE job?

That is the problem, not the ticket office.

Your point is ?

And yes they do a remarkable job Richie, to be able to suddenly deal with situations like this.

Probably unfashionable for young people like to give praise for someone doing a good job, but I'd like to unfashionably say the ticket office do a great job.

Don't come on here with your rationale arguments. Let's all have a go at the ticket office for trying to help....:annoyed::thud:

My point is YES they do a decent job procession applications but hardly REMARKABLE is it and no different to people who do the same job elsewhere.

So anyone moaning on here (by virtue of the fact they can access the web) can legitimately be called a ****?

Well I wouldn't want to say that.

But if you are renewing your existing seat and do possess a credit/debit card then it is remarkably easy to follow the instructions and complete the renewal process quickly. Obviously if you are looking to move or seeking other changes then you should fill out the form and hand it in or post it.
