Did you sit on the cinder track?

What is your view of the theory that the match was fixed?
I was only about 2 so I wasn't there! I was just agreeing with your general premise that us older fans have given more to the Albion over the years and thus should always get priority. Naturally I'd be behind you in the queue but ahead of a lot of these other fairweather fans who use the pathetic excuse that they weren't even born to excuse their absence when I was slogging up and down the motorways and railways in the 70s and 80s.

Yeah, I'd heard the 'fix' comment before. What did Watford have to gain?

Bloody ticket office, it's a disgrace. They still haven't turned up with my ticket.

I have been going to the Albion for 137 years and rarely miss a game, if they turn round and start saying that I needed to apply and all that rubbish then I won't be happy.

Why should I piss around with forms and letters etc, when they must know I want to go.

Tch, I'm nit happy, and while I'm at it, I'm already annoyed at how they are allocating seats at Falmer.

Watford didnt have anything to gain but we did. Adrian Thorne scored 5 goals in the game that we had to win to get promoted and we lead 5- 0 at halftime. Adrian Thorne played very few games for us after that and I think that their captain committed suicide, he may have just died but I am fairly certain that I am right abouty the suicide no doubt the 'experts' will put me right.

Glen Wilson played his last match for us in that game and left to become player manager of Exeter.

Well, last time I misssed out on Spurs and West ham tickets.

This time I have 4 Saints tickets.

So It has evened itself out!

Some you win, some you lose.

Get over it people, I had to last time.

And by the way, I am the bestest, loyalst fan there is and go to all away games including those far away in Scotland, I was there at the clubs inception in 1900 and will be there to see the lads run out at Falmer.

But this still shows that the AMSis a waste of time as a tool to use for away fans ticket allocation for popular games..

part of the argument for it after the Chesterfield riot was that it would enable the club to use a more sophisticated method of ticket allocation that he first come first served method that it replaced. this shows that when there is a popular game, the club just revert back to a first come first served system.

But as these sort of games show, at the moment, we still run a first come first seved method because EVERYONE who applies is is still an AMS member

I could have more sympathy with the club if they were trying to organise it in a hurry but the game isn't until 2 January. Not all fans had access to PCs or are on the Albion text message service and may just have to rely on the matchday programme for their information.

and not everyone can just get down Queens Road at the drop of a hat.

sorry but sensible well thought out responses are not helpful amongst the angst of missing out on a ticket to Spurs fans:angry:
