Not quite sure what you are getting at here young man.

To those who posted earlier in the thread, I know both the lady's who work in the TO and lets get something 100% clear..if you get your request in for tickets early enough you will get a ticket.

Roxy and Julie work their arses off for what? For the abuse some of you so called fans heap on them down the phone? Would you put up with half brain neanderthals swearing at you down the phone? Is it their fault you cant get tickets? Some twat even had the gall to blame the ticket office at the time of the Spurs game when their application didnt arrive....of course they are responsible for the post isnt that obvious...FFS

If you cant get a ticket bad luck

Top post Dave couldnt agree more.

Its really quite basic- when demand outstrips supply some people are going to miss out.

And those people will always complain that the system (regardless of which one) is wrong and blame the club and the ticket office.

Now is that logical? or just sour grapes

Someone has to miss out. :jester:

You didn't because I drove to the ticket office and stuck the application through the letterbox.
I don't trust the Post Office.

DTG - Firstly thanks for your reply to my son who seemed to have hijacked the PC whilst I was out!

Your reply is a fair one - I fully understand that you can't please everybody all the time, and I personally have never had a problem with any individual at the ticket office.

However, and yes I guess it is sour grapes, I don't think the new policy rewards those people who travel to some of the lesser games - simply those who manage to hear about ticket applications first and also perhaps those who live in Brighton and can put their application through the door.

Palace have a system that for Sunday's game ticket stubs from away games were required - would that be a fairer system that one that relies on Royal Mail?

Having said that, I shall get a ticket somehow, for either end.

The strange this with a loyalty system is how do you judge what are lesser games or greater games?
Furthest, like those who went to Hull and Preston or those who go to grounds not quite as good like Ninian Park - midweek games where people can get time off work or Saturday games - a mixture ??

Much better I think is we should set up a disloyalty scheme where you get put at the back of the queue if you attend games, just to pluck an example out of the air, at White Hart Lane :)

I think the over 50's should get priority as we've been fans for longer. :jester:

Its not a question of fair- simply get off your ass, don't rely on the post, either walk into town, get a bus, a train or even a taxi- AND f***ing hand it in or post it directly through the door of the office- job done and has always worked for me!!

Plus, i have been to Hull, Leicester, Palace, Sheff Wed, going to go to Watford, Luton, Reading and Will be going to Southampton.

oh, shit i didnt go to Preston, burnley and Derby shall i give you my tickets to make up for it then???

Should I have to pay £50 in petrol and give up 6 hours or so to drive from Bristol just to ensure I have an equal chance as someone who lives in BNxx ?

Alternatively, ring someone who lives there and ask them to put your details down on paper and post it through the ticket office door for you.

Unfortunately for big games you need to pay a little more attention than normal as more fans will travel.

I have tipped off several people indeed sorted out tickets for a couple out of the country for this game.

The bottom line is check out the web site on a daily basis.

I can ony recount two recent faux pas over the last 4/5 years from the ticket office - Reading away Div 2 when they sold a batch to fans queuing but redeemed themselves when we got another batch and Gills in Div 1 when I don't think the tickets were ever advertised.

They can't please everyone simple as that but it was advertised well in advance.

Eh? Wasn't it advertised well in advance but sold out a day or two after it was announced? Not sure I see the relevance...

Point being advertised in advance so get you application in ASAP - I hand delivered mine as I was that worried.

When people are complaining they are handicapped about the post service, I'm still not sure of the relevance of tickets going on sale 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 years in advance...

Let's agree to disagree then but I think I have a valid point :glare:
