Catching up on MOTD and the last bit of thunder in BN3 was perfectly in time with the strike that wasn't a goal.

Marvellous scenes/ sounds.

Boom!

Fantastic lightshow in BN41, and the serious rain has arrived.

I just love that smell, and the sound. I took great delight in explaining to my grandson how thunder is caused (and no, it wasn't the twee "clouds bumping together").

Spectacular show for some time over in the West. I thought Sheffield Wednesday were playing.

More coming …unsettled week forecast …with some rumbly stuff tomorrow

Mine goes down this week!
I was going to cut it first, but I'll do that next week when I overseed

I've cut a few times already since the heatwave, as large patches are growing well.

I was undecided about feeding or over-seeding first, bearing in mind the advice never to seed when lawn chemicals are freshly in the lawn. Decided to go with feed first, as with the large amount of rain forecast, I'll be able to see the areas of lawn that are well and truly dead from the unprecedented heat. Will then seed, whilst there's warmth still in the soil.

Yours, Percy :)
