After playing football at Falmer, drove home to West Hoathly at 7.30 last night. Had to drive at about 30 miles an hour most of the way home as it was hammering it down, and loads of large puddles on the side of the road. The flashes of lightning didnt help!
This morning the Selsfield road was being pumped clear by the highways agency as it was flooded. The roads were a nightmare around Lindfield (but still no smiling ducks on the village pond), lots of very very large puddles, still, managed to clean a lot of the mud of the side of my car!
