Are they not concerned about the header prior to that, which seemed to bounce down way over the line?

that got a small mention, as well as the 'dive' for the penalty. still, at least they can concentrate on staying up now - something that is looking pretty difficult! bring on the leeds

I think Wilkins was spot on in his assessment.

The first half was very very good, with the level of play outstanding at times and I honestly thought that it was going to end up 5-0.

However when you dominate you must try and score goals as if your only 1-0 down you always have a belief that you can get back into it.

2nd half Cheltenham to their credit, did just that.

We did look a little shaky when we were under pressure for a period, but that is always likely when you only have that one goal cushion.

Wilkins will undoubtedly sort that out, as I trust him 100% and remain excited for the rest of this season.

I must have been watching a different game as well - i actually thought we were VERY good last night, although we faded in the last 25 minutes.

Nicky Forster looks a different player - class

Savage didn't have a great game, but he was chasing everything down - i don't think you can call him lazy because he failed to get on the end of one cross.

O'Callaghan was pretty decent i thought, and El-Abd (although not deserving of MOM) was solid as well.

I'm a bad fan as I don't go very often. But I was there last night and I thought it was an ok performance. The players have had a lot of games lately and we looked a bit tired. DW's comments after the game that we need some free midweeks to do some proper training is absolutely true. But we're through.

As to the attendance, when you look what other teams got compared to their regular league crowd (Grimsby got only 2,000; Bournemouth only 3,000 and Leeds 11,000), ours is not too bad. You'd obviously like more but with so many games of late, utterly cr*p weather, it could have been worse.

Did I go to the wrong game last night or just a different one to most on here.
I thought that El Abd fully deserved the MOM award and had his best game for us for ages. The only time he faltered was when Lynch replaced Butters and unfortunately Lynch didnt win one tackle or header it was all left to El Abd. As a consequence of this we struggled and put our selves under pressure.

I like George and feel that we should try to sign him in January but last night he hid away alot and Hammond came more to the for and had a good game.

Richards gets better each game and had his best game last night with some very good tackles one in particular late on when he won the ball and sent itr down the line for Forster to chase.

Not an FDM lover but was pleased to see him throwing the ball out to the full backs a klot more and we wont mention his howler when he went for a long ball to puch on the edge of his box and missed it.

Overall a very satisfactory performance and we got what we deserved.

El-Abd was alright, a couple of 50 pence head/toblerone feet moments but you expect that with him. Certainly not MOTM, that was Forster or Whing.

Savage had possibly his worst game for us EVER. Robinson was also quiet.

It was not our greatest performance, there was a bit too much hoofing going on even in the first half which we totally dominated. Would've been nice to have kept a clean sheet and scored at least one more goal.

I thought the team looked a little mentally jaded after a lot of games in the last few weeks but the sign of a good side is winning when not playing that well.

Looked like a penalty to me but I can't comment on the offside or line decision for them.

Too far away to say for sure about the penalty.

What I can say without fear of contradiction though, is that if it was a penalty, the guy HAD TO BE SENT OFF.

Slow start but then battered them for most of the first half and should have been 2 or 3 up.

Did well to get back in it so soon after they scored (Forster was excellent all night) although their player should have been red carded. Nerves got the better of the team in the last few minutes but overall we fully deserved the win.

Putting this into perspective - only one defeat in 13 is absolutely mind blowing form compared to last season and I think some people are taking for granted what is happening on the pitch.

Long may it continue :albion2::albion2::albion2:

I thought we were excellent for the first half,Cheltenham couldn`t get near us,although we lacked that final killer instinct.
We missed Elphick at the back,El Abd seems to make a mistake every match which sometimes can be catastrophic but other times we get away with it.
Robinson was very quiet, Hammond`s performances seem to be consistently improving and O`Callaghan was class as usual.
We will be lost if O`Callaghan doesn`t sign for us in the transfer window.
Forster was excellent and seems to be the player we have been missing up front,Baz did look tired and should have been replaced but i`m not convinced about Nathan Elder after his misses last week.
Very disappointed about the stay away fans, i know it was wet but they wouldn`t have known that when the tickets went on sale.
Seems to me people won`t go whatever the price.

It is said that as a player and a team, make sure that you have a good last 20mins and not just a good first 20mins...because people tend only to remember the last 20 mins of games........we were decent again last night for the first 70mins......!!!
