Didn't look like it last night...thought everyone had decided he was finished a couple of months ago?

That's why I don't slag people off. Comes back to bite you. Played quality and is going back to how he was before he broke his leg.

Perhaps his court case meant that he wasn't fully focused on football and not training to his full extent and subsequently not 100% fit. He certainly looked a lot quicker last night than he has done in previous appearances this season.

Hasn't his court case just been rescheduled for later in the year after it was first thought to be thrown out ? The wheels of justice sure turn slowly.

He has the desire to shoot, and it's a good one. From distance he's the best we've got for pure thunder. It all depends on the quality of the fullback he has to dance around, and how much movement the rest of the team out in to enable him to only have to round one. At Charlton he may have scored that hugely deflected goal, but he had no joy on their fullback at all. Still best off of the bench i think, and told to just go for it. Maybe even brought into the centre a bit and not cling to the wing. Gave him options.

I thought the difference last night was that he got the chance to come in off the left wing - like he used to in our league 1 days - in doing so he drew defenders too him who he either beat or passed the ball into the space he had created. He is much better when given space to play in which he can't always do when he is hugging the touchline. He was inspirational last night.
