Thou shalt murder

Murder - The unlawful killing of a human being with malice aforethought expressed, or implied. Which means the intention to kill or cause serious bodily harm. Abortion is legal, therefore the act is lawful.

However, I entirely detest the idea of for-profit companies being allowed to advertise like it's the new trend of perfume. I support abortion, as the woman's right. The problem is, what would you prefer? More women out of work, not contributing to the economy and taking welfare which drains the economy even more.

There's already too many people who are lazy, have as many kids as possible (like my neighbour's daughter) to obviously claim welfare for the children. I'd rather not have the option taken away for women, as some forget they're pretty 50% of the economy, have less of them in the economy would surely mean our economy would be producing less and damaging the brittle economy even further.

I however, think there should be a limit. If someone has x amount of abortions in b amount of years (b = >5(x = >7)) then they should only use private provision. Otherwise I support the NHS delivering the service...

I have to say I agree with the general consensus here that it's a huge overreaction from Derby Gull. Ultimately, if you consider the formation of cell structures to constitute potential life then contraception, masturbation and childhood wet dreams are all murder.

I think ultimately, this all boils down to people's right to choose. Personally, I don't like the idea of abortion, but ultimately it is something that is needed in a lot of cases. You may well argue that the child has no choice in this matter, but does a child have a choice in anything? They don't feed, dress or clean themselves, they don't decide where to go, what to do more than a limited selection. A child does not make choices, indeed cannot make them until it has reached a certain age, in the early years, they will be entirely dependant on an parent to make decisions for them; if the child had complete freedom of choice, they would die, simple fact of nature in all animals.

There are too many people on this planet, food is in short supply as are jobs and houses globally. More people being brought into this world may not be a good idea. Further to that, we'd be looking at a lot of unwanted children who'd be either in care or simply not cared for, that's not fair on children either.

Further to that, why should you care? I don't like Marmite, but I don't bang on about banning it and how it's an evil murder of yeast cells, I just don't eat it. If you don't agree with abortion, perhaps the best thing to do is not to have one?

I am adopted why i dont believe in abortion along with my sister i was put into care at 2 and she 3 it was pretty clear from the start my birth parents could no look after me, it would have been pretty easy for them to get rid, but they didnt, yes the first six years of my life were hell, and im still dealing with it, but i now have a beautiful son who is 4 next week and a baby on the way.

I just hate the idea of abortion as said circumstances permit it, i would like it to be lowered the time limit, but that wont happen for some time.

You don't believe in abortion? What is there to believe or disbelieve? It exists. It's like saying I don't believe in cars. And when you say your parents could have easily aborted you? what sort of argument is that, all our parents could.
Anayway, I am vehemently against any moves to restrict a woman's right to abort a small cluster of cells that could potentially go onto be a baby. It's the first step down a long dark road.

I ask Kazenga, as derby gulls imaginary friend says in the book of fairy tales on which his opposition to abortion is apparently based that he loves children. Apparently it is a sin to kill them, even if they aren't even real little children yet but are only a bunch of cells in the putative mothers womb.

Thing is in Kings 2 2:23-25 one of his deities prophets is out walking and some local kiddies take the piss out of him for being bald. So said prophet curses them in the name of his sky daddy and said sky daddy promptly sends two she bears to rip 42 of these little kiddies to pieces.

2 Kings 2:23-25 ESV - He went up from there to Bethel, and - Bible Gateway

I just wonder how someone who opposes abortion can square having 42 actual living children, as opposed to embryos, being ripped to bits by their loving compasionate imaginary friend.

Just because the fetus is not alive in the eyes of the law, does not change the fact that it will be in the future.

But how far back do you take that - is it morally wrong to knock one out as you'd be killing the live sperm ?

It's 2012. People who still have their lives dictated to them through religion make my toes curl with embarrassment. It was dreamt up to keep the classes down and keep the power with the rich.

As for abortion adverts - I think it's excellent news. It should never be used as a means of birth control but it does have a place in a modern society - religious dogma doesn't.

I think the title and initial content from the poster makes this thread impossible to bring to any useful inclusion.

I personally do not support abortion (although there are understandable circumstances for sure) and am sad that for some it is seen as a form of contraception.

HOWEVER, I quickly add that for many it is a painful decision. Some people have been raped, others are in a dreadful place that means a new life would simply be unable to survive or flourish in a way that it would deserve. They deserve sympathy and understanding, not condemnation.

I'm not sure what the original poster intended to achieve here, but the case against abortion has not been furthered and has been given a disservice by his or her original rant.

2 points I would make.

I believe that an egg, which has been fertilized by a sperm, is a human life.

I don't think people should be labelled whatever they believe on this subject, people who are against abortion are not anti-women and people who are for abortion are not anti-life.

I believe that the unborn child is a human being and deserves protection, and that is why I don't agree with aborton, and I don't think it has anything to do with a woman's rights. For me, the pregnant woman has a responsibility for two people. But I understand that if someone views this differently, they might see this as being about a womans rights and her body. Its a very difficult subject, I used to hold a different view to the view I hold today. As for advertising abortion, again, how you view this will depend on how you see the unborn child and whether you consider it as deserving protection and having a right to life, something not everyone agrees on it seems.

Because the unborn baby has no say/control in what happens to him/her.
And it is very rare that a womans life is in danger when giving birth in this day and age.

So what? Why is that better than stoppig someone having a choice who can have a say?

Yes its rare, and there are other reasons as well, rape for example.

I don't think people are "for abortion" they are "for a woman's right to choose". The lines are 'pro-choice' or 'pro-life'.

Wrong its a womans privelege.

There are too many people on this planet,

Wrong.
food is in short supply

Wrong

Wrong/irrelevant. Abortionist Societies have population decline on trend.

Further to that, we'd be looking at a lot of unwanted children who'd be either in care or simply not cared for, that's not fair on children either.

Wrong/Irrelevant.

Wrong/irrelevant/stupid. How can a man have an abortion?

Fail.
