OK, so FIFA were cheesed off, but they've been fined and had their passports taken off them. Bang out of order!

And had fifa not chucked them out, we would not have even been aware of it.

So thanks FIFA for introducing us to these lovely girls, I'm off to buy a case of Bavaria beer, rather than the 'official' product, which seems to be mostly water.

Indeed Bavaria have now received more advertising than the original stunt would've achieved. Coincidently how come a Dutch beer is named Bavaria?

Is there already some kind of 'Buy Bavaria' campaign up and running? It could be massive for them.

Then the girls could be used in a new Holland tourism campaign, wearing orange bikinis and handcuffs, and saying 'I'd go to prison for my country'. Maybe I've thought about this too much already...

Bavaria Premium Pils lager, available in asda apparently

Not to be confused with Bavaria Alcohol-free lager (also available in asda).

the north sea pouring into the atlantic a few thousand years ago really scuppered our chances of having birds the standard of the germans and dutch, in similar numbers.

things could have been very different.

1) As pointed out, most of the girls were South African. Two of them were Danish. None of them are Dutch.

2) If you boycott Budweiser to drink Bavaria, you are moving up in the world, but only by replacing the world's worst beer with the world's second worst beer. Hardly a win-win situation.

That is all.

All good points. But it would really piss Blatter off.

Hum, I never drink Bud because of its water-like properties. However have never sampled bavaria. Thanks for the forewarning - I'll stick to something else (althogh I am really tempted to sample Bavaria because it is exactly what FIFA doesn't want me to do).

Am going to try Bavaria now, though. Did they ever have any logos on them, though?

Was it Bavaria that at the last World Cup handed out about a thousand lederhosens (spelling) and the Dutch fans were forced to take them off and watch the match in their underwear. Think i saw this on some BBC3 programme.
