Yeah, fair enough. Good point, well made.
Still....

Not true, I have never worn a straight jacket..........yet.That’s always the way, vast majority of fans support the incumbent, you would have got carted out of here in a white straight jacket if you were criticising Hughton a couple of Christmases ago. Four months later he was gone
Correct. This thread is basically calling out 2 people.
One is a Hughton fan, doesn’t support us.
The other, spence, whilst mostly sincere, I suspect is a fellow who enjoys a bit of a wind up.
The ethos of this topic is better served aiming at those outside the NSC.

Sorry!
It always amuses me that the response of some fans is not to enjoy a win, not to celebrate a successful season, but to hunt out anyone who when things got tough got a little worried about what that form might mean and shove it in their face. Seems odd behaviour. It's like those that are all 'where's the moaners now?!' after we win and play well. It's like they're not happy for our success, they're happy they get to say 'ha! told you so!' (even if they didn't actually say anything, just flounced to avoid the negativity).
It's not just 'vocally criticised everything' though is it?I think we all had our moments when we feared we were going to go. During lockdown was tough, but I’m chuffed we came out and battled so well. I think the OP is more talking about the likes of Spence who vocally criticised everything and said we were going down time and time again - it’s one thing voicing an opinion or prediction, but another thing saying it so convincingly and constantly!
Too right, Stat. It's not just 'vocally criticised everything' though is it?
Posters like that went after everybody from Barber-out down.
They were pretty nasty and incredibly unsupportive.
Then they went after everybody who said they were being pretty nasty and incredibly unsupportive.
On the one hand they are just t'internet trolls best ignored, it's not like they are ever going to change, Spence was 'at it' just last week, the guys an idiot.
But on the other, if you're going to write this shite, you better be read to have it then rammed down your throat - which I know is all part of the 'game'.
Thing is so many were not just a little bit worried, they were aggressively anti GP, they were near as certain that we were going to be relegated, they KNEW how we should be playing and they KNEW the consequences if their sage advice was not taken. If some of them showed up and said "heck how wrong was I" they would get nothing but kudos from me, but the silence from these doomsayers (I am not talking about those worried that we MIGHT get relegated) is deafening. Grow a pair and acknowledge you got it wrong.
Don’t start a witch hunt. Every one has an opinion, good or bad, but we’re all fans.
Too right, Stat.
We all know who the few who this thread is aimed at are, and it isn't those who had a slight worry.
Please step forward, you’re most welcome to a lovely, chewy bit of gristle.
