Just seen on the bbc that Thornhill and Davies have been told by Forest thay can both leave in Jan on permanent deals.

Let's be honest neither looked up to much when they were here

Thornhill didn't really get a chance, which is understandable if he was involved with whatever went on before Wycombe that led to him and Dickinson not being in the squad.
I thought Davies looked alright though.

davies started promisingly but faded, thornhill puzzles me as he was supposedly seen as a good prospect at forest before his disastrous spell here

We should sign Thornhill definitely. Heard very good things about him, and wasn't really given a fair run in the team to show his worth.

He was given a few chances, didn't take them, so why should we offer him a deal? He has been useless.

How many games did he start? you cannot expect players to perform when they are given a couple of minutes a week.

Thornhill is a good player.

i thought thornhill was meant to be one of Forest's rising stars?! when he started his loan here lots of their fans were saying how good he was, and that soon he'd be a regular in their midfield! what happened!?!

If that is the case why didnt he show more in training and thus get more starts.

I don't know, perhaps he became a bit disillusioned at the fact he had gone from starting in the championship to benched in league one, I ain't making excuses for his performances as they clearly were not the best, however, I do believe he is a good player.

We'll I've heard lots of good things about what a talented player he is, when he was at Forest. You don't turn a bad player over night.

Agreed he has been given a few chances, but a few isn't really enough to judge someone.

Whether he is or isn't good enough simply won't come into it now.

There is NO way Thornhill would sign for us, having had his career badly affected following his loan move here...

He'll sign for a top end league one club I reckon.

I liked the look of Davies, but saw nothing in Thornhill whatsoever.

Both looked unfit and un interested esp Thornhill. Maybe if either had put their back in to the loan spell here they wouldn’t be out of a job come Jan...
