Same here.

It was agony as a kid - wanting to get through Christmas dinner and then the washing & drying up, then someone would suggest taking the dog out for a quick walk and then the adults would all need a tea or coffee to sit down with - but it kept the excitement going for longer.

It will be at least three by the time we’ve eaten, cleared the table and loaded the dishwasher.

Same here...kids get up and open presents from Santa then have a wait until after dinner c. 3pm until they can open presents from under the tree (presents from everyone else). So they get 2 sessions of presents.

I like to give the kids their presents early. I'm normally up before they are, looking forward to seeing their faces. Then I have plenty of time before the traditional pub trip to set up things, insert batteries and have a bit of fun playing with them.

Tell me, will the Sporting Clive Bar in Valletta be doing their traditional Christmas Day roast with all the trimmings?

Sorry, I have no idea. Never been there. I will try to visit it one day.
Looks a bit tatty compared to most bars in Valletta these days. Lots of trendy wine bars now.

Presents don't get opened here until after Christmas Dinner - never have in either my wife's or my household.

I suppose it's the Tory approach of "Get Christmas Done!"

Same here, presents are never opened until all guests have arrived and normally done over 2-3 sittings, after dinner then early evening.

This time next week All the vegetables, Chicken and all the trimmings purchased today from Aldi will be one day before the best before date and the whole lot for Christmas dinner to feed 5 for wait for it .......... £58 I thinks that's amazing value sprouts, carrots, parsnips and swede 0.15p each, so in the Blue3 house Christmas is sorted no more shopping just sit back and relax

That’s really cruel to keep kids waiting till after the meal for pressies. I bet you fold up old wrapping paper don’t you ?
