We've lost to two of the worst teams in the league. God knows what'll happen when we face a real test.

We have DAYS left to make a decent signing and save this season.

We're woeful.

But what if we had made him an offer in May, then surely Burnley would have moved in then?!! Both clubs were playing a waiting game, making Wolves pay his over inflated wages, we made our move, then Burnley hi jacked it. You can't blame the club for that!
Your not getting this are you? If we had missed out 2 months ago we could have moved on to other targets, but the club 'claim' we were not allowed to talk to him till last week, a player that Wolves had publicly stated that they did not want but were happy to keep on paying his wages all summer long?

Someone is telling porkies........

The most worrying thing for me is that we have played two of the WORST teams in the league and not even scored. What happens when we play Forest or Derby? .

That is what worries me the most. Birmingham had not won at home (bar today) since last October and we loose to them at St Andrews. Sheffield Wednesday had a poor away record and they beat us when they were away. I fear for a long season.

this the worse team since the withdean days , and the team that won the league 1 title was better than the present one

In the olden days you tweaked your squad over the close season and used the pre-season games as the 'Time To Gel' them into a unit. Now you sacrifice a dozen league points in August in the hope of picking up someone on the cheap in the last day of the transfer window. So you write off August, and your 'Time To Gel' writes off September also. Madness.

This.

We are in big trouble this season, make no mistake about that.

If we have the same squad of players on the 01 Sep as we do now I firmly believe we'll go down this year.

Part of me wishes we had a tougher opening. Forest, Norwich, Fulham etc. At least a hiding to nothing would have perhaps alerted the board.

I can only assume that with the mass clear out we've had the board really aren't aware of the ramifications of going down. For a start the loss of revenue would be huge. I sincerely hope they've not come to EXPECT gates of 25k plus. League One and I could see crowds of just 10,000 at The Amex. The club are playing a very dangerous game. The thing I find the most baffling is Blooms has allowed things to sink this low.

What is also pissing me off is the small minority who are unable to open there eyes to the problems. "Wait till the 01st of Sep" they keep saying. What makes you think we can achieve in the next 14 days something we've failed to since May?? Open your eyes.

That's the statistic I find most alarming

But not not all clubs have taken this stance. We are now in a position where we need a minimum of three really key signings including someone capable of sticking the ball in the net in the next fortnight. In any work situation you should never put yourself in that type of pressure situation. Other clubs, agents and players will now know that they have the upper hand over us. What an shambles. Plus as you say, if we do get them in, no time to bed them in at all meaning that most of September will be a right off.

Within 15 mins of the Sheffield game I detected the quality as what I'd call 3rd division- passing control movement teamwork . Maybe that's the plan. We're a massive 3 rd div team but not quite good enough for automatic promotion in the 2nd on the last 2 seasons showing. We'd get better season ticket sales and spend far less on players being top dog a league down. Yes a perverse theory but with Burke all about money and no roots in the club it at least offers an explanation of sorts as to why what's going with the playing side which beggars belief from where we finished in 2013 and 2014 and the resource we have from the attendances we get.

No there isn't plenty of time !! We've missed out on 6 points already ! That's the difference between getting a top 6 finish or mid table !!!

Do you seriously believe that a top 6 finish is our expectation this season. It matters not that we lose a load of points in August as long as we get the players we need by the deadline. We will get enough points to finish mid table and continue the rebuilding process that will see us strong enough next season to have a decent go at promotion.

I think you will find that this season is what is known as transitional

Thanks Greens :(
To all the clowns writing we need 3/4 quality players by the end of August, you seem to have missed the boat. All the quality players have been signed to other clubs already. We will bring in Lita/Obika/Rodriguez calibre rubbish, as that is ALL that is left out there...

Spot on, this is a crisis. The lack of urgency has been amazing, and not in a good way. Let's take Ulloa as an example. We must have known at the end of last season that we were likely to be unable to keep him. We knew that we would be able to get plenty of money for him as soon as Leicester started to make bids. So why didn't we line someone up at this stage. Instead we are now in a position where we will need to take a rushed decision on someone and likely to get it wrong. Really poor management.
