Bloody ridiculous decision. If he is fit he should play.

How can you rest a player that has not played for two weeks - very suspicious.

me thinks theres more to this story, as Beachy says he should NOT be unfit so is either carrying a knock or told MA to shut up!

Resting my ARSE.

Hell, even the official website said Elphick would start today. How can you decide over night that a player needs resting?

If there was a need for a player to be rested, it's because you've been running the players into the floor the last week:angry:

Mick Mccarthy has basically said if he turns up any less than 100% fit ie no niggling injuries you can stuff your £2m in January

Weirder and weirder. Hard to understand this.

Two theories - he has upset Adams somehow and been dropped or he is on his way in January and won't play again.

The lad seems sensible so option one seems unlikely, but equally we would be foolish to sell and especially so to not have him for all of December?

Weird one.

Joke. Perhaps Adams thinks it's HIM who's responsible for our defence turning shite since the summer....

Still, all up to CALAMITY Hawk to prove the doubters wrong....

So we start a difficult game without our best centre back? Adams really must have a death wish. A crass decision by an increasing desperate manager.

What's crazy about it? Elphick is more form than function - most of the goals against us (which as mounting in number) go through his position as if he's not there.
He models the kit well, and if we can get a few quid for him he can model anyone's kit well. Like Lynch, he ain't as good as most on here seem to be desperate to make out.

By the way, Lynch really really is shit. Please start to understand that, some of you.
Just because some other club wants him and he wants away, does not make him a great player.

My 3 theories.

1) If they have had a hard few days, then he could have tweaked his ankle or similar.

2) Adams has decided we need a more solid centre half pairing, so we've got the bigger ones in.

3) Adams is changing things around for the hell of it to show us he's planning stuff.

Could it not be to do with the fact that the right side of our defence has been poor this season, he hasnt covered Whing when he has gone forward and vice versa so having tried without Whing, away to Stockport, which many said was a failure, MA is now trying the other alternative to solve the problem.

He starts at leftback today for Forest.
