Yeah its Year 5 when they start getting taught. Although our 9 year old has been learning the basics in the playground. He picked up an empty Pepparami packet the other day and said it looked a condom and you needed to use one for kissing girls :ohmy: He'll learn!

I'm no lover of Blair but this is a complete reversal of the truth. The main forces against sex education have been various conservative and religious groups - it certainly hasn't been the Labour Party.

The Conservative Party under Thatcher was particularly vocal about limiting sex education - it baffles me how this can be blamed on Blair.

Living in walsall i can clearly say the problem is a social one - when i lived in sussex in the nineties it was socially unexceptable to be pregnant at 16.
Here it is socially exceptable, people don't look down on it and therefore encourages it.
