I was quite looking forward to VAR this season, hoping that it would eliminate a lot of the cheating and diving as well as overruling some of the glaringly obvious refereeing errors. If it takes you 3mins 47 seconds to ultimately decide a toe is offside then VAR is not fit for purpose.
Apart from our penalty against Everton it has been a lot less than most had hoped for. Armpits and fingernails being offside is bloody ridiculous. VAR has given some of the 'Look at me' refs an opportunity to f**k up even more games without the crowds giving them sh1t.
If VAR was used sensibly it could be good for the game. As it is, the red card decisions and cheating are no different to pre-VAR days. This International break should be used to get all the PL refs in a room for a few days, show them all of the ridiculous decisions they've made and give them new guidelines.
And yes! The process needs speeding up.
