I like Robbie Earle, he seems to know what's what...Robbie Mustoe, not so much. They are a good punditry duo though when watching NBCN(so I'm told)

The two Robbies are quite good. Mustoe does give credit where credit is due and all through the season he has been very complimentary about us.

Of no relevance at all...

I looked up Robbie Earle’s stats on Wikipedia. Shows he played 350+ games for Port Vale; then 350 for Wimbledon. No other clubs. That’s proper loyalty that!

Apart from someone (the OP?) mentioning we are established in the EPL, I cannot demur.

Anyway...I can barely remember last time we were duffed up (it was Leicester away, wasn't it?).

What I like is we are where we are based on sound steady sedimentation, overseen by a fan/owner, not a tank load of imported cash (speculative loans) and bullshit.

I know it's easy to get carried away about it as an Albion fan, but our story really is incredible.

Second bottom in the basement division two seasons in a row, literally minutes away from dropping out of the league altogether. So so close to there being no Albion at all, losing our stadium and become exiled.

But somehow, like a phoenix from the ashes, we somehow find our way back home, albeit a temporary one... and go on to win back to back promotions.

God knows how we did it, but we somehow held our own in the 2nd and 3rd divisions at an athletics track with 3 temporary stands, until finally, after some years of passionate campaining, we found ourselves in a state of the art stadium. A "****ing brilliant" final season in league one saw us into the 2nd division just in time for our new home, and we never looked back.

Now look at us - becoming an established Premier League team, with a squad full of internationals, elite training ground, some of the Premier League's top young talent and a world class manager.

Could we complete our journey by one day qualifying for Europe? I wouldn't hold it against us. But like the very good commentary was saying there - it is the dream and aspirations of competing at the very highest level which makes stories like our possible.

It's what I dream of.

Used to dream about staying in Div 1

Then not getting relegated

Then winning cup final

Then Tommy Johnson missing.....

Used to dream of not getting dumped out of football league.

Then promotion out of league 2

Then promotion out of league 1

Then dreamt Gaston's shinpad holding out. (sadly failed, but I believe a foundation has been created

It's been a hell of a journey. I have been there all the way through, and before I shuffle off this mortal coil, ...... could we play in Europe (other than preseason friendlies :)?

Could we? Could we?

It's the hope that kills you :) but it is also the point of competitive football.

I was working in Barcelona the day Man Utd were due to Barca in the European Cup Winners Cup. Just think that could so easily have been us. :tantrum:

It was the awful trips to Gillingham for the ground share, that for me was the lowest point especially when our bus had to pull over on the way up there as the one in front caught fire.
When I sit in the Amex I often think about those trips with my old Dad and when people start moaning around us I think well you obviously didnt go to Gillingham and The Withdean.

Exactly where does Bloom get all this cash from to prop us up?

Hopefully he's not too over leveraged for when or if, the great financial collapse comes.
Although I can't see the Amex ever being bulldozed to make way for a Toy Shop & DIY Store.

Broke my ankle in two places celebrating the 4th goal in a 4-4 draw with Colchester I believe on boxing day. Managed to get home then of to A&E to have it manipulated back into position then plastered. Three months off work.
