were or what is this £1.5million from? is it a claim Slade has spent £1.5m or that he's been given that amount as a budget... which is not yet spent?

£1.5m is a figure that the anti-Slade brigade bandy about when it suits them. For example "This bald wanker has spent £1.5m in the close season and we're no better than last year" etc.

Not unreasonable to ask one of them to justify the figure - and no, adding agents fees and other numbers (and players for that matter) into the pot doesn't count. The cost of a player has always been seen as the figured paid by the club. No weaselling out of it - list the players that Slade spent £1.5m on since the end of last season please someone.

I thought that I read somewhere that Norwich offered £350k for Dickenson and were turned down so if that is true we obviously paid or agreed to pay subject to performance etc more than that.

which in a nutshell is the point I was trying to make.

I am not a great Slade liker or hater. He seems a very affable chap and performed miracles last year in keeping up a very poor side ( It also helped that Northampton imploded).

I would like to see a club who supports its managers and sticks by them to allow them to doa job...we have had so many managers over the last 20 odd years its silly...from Brady, Case, Gritt, Hinch, adams, wood, adams again, taylor , coppell, mcghee.....etc etc

agree fully Granny. In my view we need some stability - not that I think we'll get it mind

Well said Dave. Short term "fixing" is not a permanent substitute for long term planning in any business and a business is exactly what BHA is.
