Everyone stop including Murray. He's referring to the 1.5m that Bloom has supposedly given Slade to spend.

hang on.....are we saying that the £1.5 million is spend on the current crop of players irrespective of when they came in?

I was led to believe that people say that £1.5 million has been spent since Bloom took over

What about agents and the cost of wages? There are lots of hidden costs associated with buying players. Bloom may well have given an extra £1.5 million for Slade to spend including wages, rather than £1.5 million to spend soley on transfer fees.

I seem to remember that when we bought Kazim-Richards most of the £250,000 actually went on his wages.

300k Murray
150k Tunnicliffe - Slade
75k Forster
250k Dickinson - Slade
200k Bennett - Slade
150k McNulty
75k Davies
130k Wright - Slade

I make that 130+150+200+250 = 730k

He's spent three quarters of a million - less than Huddersfield spent on one player.

He is managing a team that cost 1.34 million though (approx)

Responded on another thread with these:

Isn't that a rumoured team worth, including the 300,000 for murray, was it 50,000 for Forster? etc. But it is often confused as being the money spent this summer.

There are also several 'undisclosed amounts' that are rumoured to be hundreds of thousands.

According to soccerbase.com these were signed this summer/season/year whatever ( http://www.soccerbase.com/transfers_by_team.sd?teamid=381 ):

So value is largely rumours and supposition.

And

Going through past seasons, there are the following amounts

Jim Mcnulty £150,000 last season (08/09)

Glenn Murray £300,000 year before (07/08)

Nicky Forster £75,000 year before that (06/07)

So those three are £525,000.

Meaning Dickinson, Tunnicliffe, Wright and Bennett need to be worth close to a million.

Dickinson was a DOWNPAYMENT of £300k. Meaning more to come.

I don't know anyone saying we have spent £1.5million. A million when you count signing on fees, agents and wages etc would look about right.

When you add up Dickinson, Dicker, Wright, Tunnicliffe and Bennett it is already getting on for a cool mill.

That said, anything approaching a million of investment this summer SHOULD be resulting in better performances.
