going tomorrow for a couple weeks . mixed group of ten of us going and my 1 year old daughter. any ideas of things to do or see?

The north bit of the island is the most populated with cafes, bars, artificial beeches etc...St. Julians and Silema for example. If you love your history...you'll love the capital Valetta. Lots of old people in Malta...it's a lovely Island but not a great deal to do. I went last september for a week and that was enough...it's certainly not a young people's island but we are going back this year.

Enjoy

You could wander around taking pot-shots at rare birds like the locals?

I've been there twice - really liked it - Valetta is good to wander round - St julians, Paceville bars clubs and nightlife.

Go to the blue lagoon near Gozo, one of the most beautiful places i have ever been to. Popeyes village on the west coast as well.

Popeyes village on the west coast as well.

Surely it must have fallen into the sea by now? It was looking a tad rickety about a decade ago. and as 93.7% of the general visitor population must have by now forgotten that a highly-unlikely Popeye film was ever made, I suspect it's not the tourist draw it once was. Tho seem to recall there was a famous boaty-type war film made nearby also.

On mature reflection, I'd say head straight for Ollie's Bar, drink yourself stupid, all day every day, and stay there til it's time to leave for the airport for the flight home

We did a jeep safari thing around the island which was quite good fun, you dont have to worry about driving on the other side of the road either. The island has a good history as well.

I never could understand why a film could be called 'Things to do in Denver when you're dead' as Denver's quite a fun place.

Now, 'Things to do in Malta when you're dead' would be an apt title. Drinking DOES seem to eb your best bet. No worries, your 1-yr old won't be too bothered

I a half from malta.

Valetta, the capital, is lovley. The beaches in the north and in selima are lovley.

Depends what you want to do really.

Also popey village is shit. Takes about 1 hour to go round and then is boring. Your 1 year old migth like it.

Two blokes got eaten by a GREAT WHITE SHARK in the 50s while swimming off a Maltese beach, and the biggest great white ever caught was taken off the Maltese coast.

Still, they're quite rare. Why not go for a swim?
