Things that annoy me about this season

Mendoza

NSC's Most Stalked
here we go:
- The need for a little/large combo upfront
- The need to hit the ball high and long to the little of the little/large combo
- Virgo and Currie, 78 yard crossfield passes from right to left, to who exactly? they never reach the target and there is ALWAYS someone screaming for the ball 5 yards infront of you in acres of space
- Butters, Long balls down the inside left channel
- Kuipers, STILL cant kick it (and still afraid of injuring his kicking muscle)
- Harding, charging down the left wing leaving gaping holes behind him for opposition to expose
- Short Corners
- Jarrett, gets the ball, gets his head down and runs with it (he doesnt seem to mind which direction he runs in)
- The only time we dont play a long ball is when we are central about 20 yards from goal, we always do silly little passes, trying to create an arsenal style perfect goal, SHOOT FFS!!:censored:
- The way we are losing. Last time in division 1 we were still losing, but we were playing attacking football, going at teams and a silly mistake would mean we would lose by the odd goal. We'd still go home with a sense of pride about the team
NOW its just a damp squib, we play for a draw, playing very defensive, rarely attack, and heads go down to quickly. There seems to be no passion.
- If we go a goal down, we take off our 2 attacking players (molango and jarrett).
- Are we trying to contain our goal difference to a minimum so it acts as an extra point come end of season? thats fine EXCEPT WHEN YOU DONT HAVE ANY POINTS IN THE FIRST PLACE
- Withdean, stewards, atmosphere etc its shit now, i dont enjoy it

i love the club, i love the team, i will still go to all the games, but ffs sort something out

The Biggest thing is lack of confidence - especially if the opposition score. Last night was a case in point - played very well for 24 minutes then as soon as Taylor's love child cocks up we resort to looking panicky and hoofing the ball up to leon and maheta - what a team of spineless gits...........gradi wouldn't stand for it at Crewe and nor should Mcgoo!

Not sure Currie does it so much but Virgo is certainly guilty of the above, seems to think he's Steven Gerrard or something.

some very good points there mendoza totally agree with

taking of our 2 most attacking players jarrett and molango every game

butters wasted long balls they always end up going to opposing keeper

long high pulls when molango isnt great in the air and leon and jake are 5 ft 4

well said molango, I don't enjoy Withdeam much either, once we've finished our seasons racing I think we might do a few away games instead

What REALLY annoys me is that I KNOW this team can play much better than we are. I'd much rather McGhee concentrated on that rather than whining about injuries and a lack of a target man.

Make the best of what you have got, they're not THAT bad. Even if we don't sign another player. We have a team in place that should be capable of staying in this division. Even if it is at the wrong end of it!

When we were on our losing streak last season we wern't attacking and going home with a sense of pride, I can remember some awful performances where we created next too nothing, admitadly we had Kuipers out , Zamora out and loads of youth.

The thing I'm most pissed off about is there appears to be no place for Gary Hart. Last time around he was still recovering from the injury sustained at Colchester. In the absence of Paul Brooker he is the only one who can run at the opposing defence with the ball.

I don't agree with that. Jarrett is doing a good job of running at the defence.

That is spot on mate.................... you have put down everything a lot of us think and would like to say, save for fear of getting lambasted by those on this site who still wear those Rose Tinted ones.

We do not say these things for the sake of it, simply it reflects reality, and before anyone says anything, I still think DK is doing as good a job as any chairman in the same position, but that doesn't mean you cant offer some criticism from time to time.

It is very frustrating and all too familiar.
