I like they way you say WE will never forget where we came from on a thread where some have already shown themselves up for dismissing Orient as a club in such a crass way.

By thinking Orient are mediocre, I don't really see how that impacts on my ability to appreciate what the Albion have been through over the last 20 years.

To be fair, that could have been a perfect description of us three or four years back. Who's to say Orient won't find their own club loving minted sugar daddy one day?

Absolutely, and I carefully tried to phrase it in a non-condescending way - and probably failed.

Difference being that a big new stadium was on the cards for us, whereas the equivalent for the O's is West Ham encrouching on their catchment area when they take up residence of the Olympic Stadium.

Well quite. Are we really not allowed to take the piss out of Orient then? What about Crawley? I'm sure tons of us have had a pop at them recently. Is that allowed?

And as for Munkfish getting his frilly little knickers in a twist and all personal over for pretty much nothing. Deary me. :nono:

Another classic. Good one. I guess it was my second point then. thanks for clarifying.

Seriously, you should re-read the thread. You come across as Mr Angry over nothing. You called me and Brian a dick and then called me a smug shit in a second post before I had said anything to you. Silly child.

I was trying to point out that you was making yourself look like a dick and seem to come across very smug, laughing about Orient when really we have nothing to be smug about. Silly child?

Personally, I wasn't a) laughing at them or b) somehow implying that it is a bad thing to support them. I was merely suggesting that in my opinion, they are mediocre. Clearly, however, giving a simple (and fairly benign) opinion makes me a dick.

As I say, go and re-read the thread.

You can be all mealy mouthed about it after the event but the fact is you were unnecessarily aggressive and rude. You called us dickheads and then me a smug shit before I said anything remotely unpleasant to you. So yes, in my opinion that is you acting like a silly child. Sorry if you think that makes me sound SMUG.

In the meantime, please provide a list of football clubs I'm not allowed to take the piss out of. I'll keep an eye out for any posts where you attempt to take the piss out of Palace and point out your hypocrisy if you do. Is that alright with you?

Munkfish has clearly forgotten. John Bumlick, could you do the honours and call Brian a smug shit please?

:catfight:put the handbags away guys..

back to the orginal thread i do think Orient at very best could be a struggling Championship side, but as mentioned before do respect people that support these teams...

I also like seeing people from other clubs we've matured with over the years come on and acknowledge how well we are now doing... :clap2:

Absolutely. Despite the "rivalry" we had for a time there with Orient, I've always really liked their fans, as that is true committment to your local club, as it would be very easy to convince yourself that actually West Ham is pretty local, that could class as "my local team" and off you trot to watch them. It's not even as if there is a some flashy glorious past to Lord over people with. It is entirely a support based on location, and that has always endeared Leyton Orient fans to me.

No need to gloat, Orient are a good club with good supporters. Plenty of bigger clubs around them but they still go.

What a shame - I was thinking this thread was turning into a something in the spirit and memory of bhaexpress.

Had a good day seeing Orient play Posh last April... Jarvis netted in the 6th minute of stoppage at the end of the match to win it 2-1.... Supporters were class, I think it was just a novelty to them that a Canuck was watching the O's :lolol:

I like Russell Slade. If he hadn't performed the Great Escape 3 years ago, we would never have got Poyet in Nov and the rest, they say, is history.
