These new contactless Barclaycard things you stick on your phone

And where can I use it? The website lists Pret-a-Manger, Timpsons, EAT, McDonalds, Wembley Arena and London cabs. Apart from London cabs I am not a customer of any of these companies. Are there any other places in Brighton where I can use this new technology?

This - loads of retailers have "wave pay" technology on their card readers.

Being a champagne socialist, you will be pleased to know Waitrose has this technology.

It all seems a bit pointless to me, my phone has less money than I do.

I must admit I don't fully understand the benefit.

IMO the idea is flawed. What if someone nicks your phone? in theory they can spend up to £90 before the system asks for a pin (I beleive the pin is only asked every 6 transactions.)
Barclay card will not stop transactions until you call them to say the 'card' is lost, and you wont be able to call immediatly if you dont have a phone!
