Shoreham’s always vulnerable to bedlam. Last year the chaos outside McDonalds in the pre and post lockdown Mc feasting. Buses, genuinely, had to be rerouted from the A259.

True. I walked from Lancing to Southwick a couple of times during Covid just to not have to deal with it. Rather pleasant it was too.

We had friends come down from Newcastle on Thursday night for my dad's funeral yesterday.

They were going to head back tomorrow but these ****ing idiot panic buyers have ****ed that right up. They're going to have to spend an extra day or two down here.

No point just setting off for Newcastle with under half a tank hoping a petrol station on the way has some.

Always been the way.

My born n bred Brightonian parents moved outside the city in about 1960. Lancing, Peacehaven, Worthing and Newhaven even then had far cheaper house prices than this conurbation.

****tards queueing along the high street in Shoreham this morning. Twats

Went to M&S about 4, virtually no queue @ Stressco.

Have 2 empty scooters so could do with a 20L can full to do me for a week . . .may try tomorrow

Anyone know anywhere near Worthing that has any? Got 30 odd miles, need to get to work tomorrow… what a joke the people of this country have become.

Been on holiday for a week, and not seen the news. Just driven home from Monmouth to Cumbria, mainly up the A49. Decided we needed some petrol (1/4 full), pulled in to the first garage after I thought we should get some, drove to an available pump and filled up - all just as normal. Then wondered why almost every other garage had queues and/or 'closed' signs. So, guess I got lucky.

Also - given the possibility of going 2nd in the League on Monday, I thought it rather fitting to have driven past Edgar Street today.

Edit - going top, not 2nd. Subject to further goals of course....

Asda is coned off, Steeles at Goring said they are out until a monday delivery. Sainsburys Lyons farm is out of fuel too. The Esso/Tesco by the North Star had petrol about 4.25 today when I drove by. Good luck, im down to just under a 1/4 tank but have no need to drive anywhere for a couple of days....hoping a small amount of sanity is restored by then.

It should pass pretty quickly . . .theres no shortage, just the press, gov't and idiotic half of the population. I have enough in the car but that takes longer and burns more. If the weathers good (or not abysmal) and it continues into the week I'll pump it out the car!!!

The traffic is so bad who wants to drive anyway . . . . Been looking for a local job for a year now

I'm waiting for some tw@t to burn his house neighbourhood down with a load of plastic cans in his garage. That would be manslaughter minimum in my book.

The only positive about this is that people have far less capacity to (safely - though that's another problem with petrol) store fuel than they have for toilet roll. Once the cars are full, they remain full.

So I would hope that if supply continues more or less as normal, then by midweek things should be ok. But not great for those who need to travel for work or one-off events in the meantime.

Cheers for that, thing is… can’t even go out hunting with only 32miles in the tank, and I’ve got work early tomorrow morning. Fuming about it to be honest. I guess I’m just going to have to gamble and hope somewhere has some :lolol:

Shut up man. I haven't got time to read 41 pages. So just posted what I thought. As for trolling, is that your default setting you go to when someone posts something you don't agree with?

You really, really need to learn to read. I couldn't make it clearer that it was Bozza trolling and you fell for it hook, line and sinker. And are now behaving like a 5 year old. The gift that keeps on giving.:clap2:

There is a shortage ! Having something like 50% of stations actually empty confirms that. Yes yes yes, plenty of petrol but its is a struggle getting it to the petrol stations, its all in the wrong place and there is a shortage of tanker drivers as has been mentioned before.

Tell me about it.

I ended up just filling my car boot up once the tank was full.

I had to take up smoking just to mask the smell of the fumes.

Maybe scan the local Facebook pages and hope someone can give you a clue but, prepare to queue. :annoyed:
