Can't see anything on here so don't think it's Fix..........

Inside the back page of the Argus this morning it's saying we've lost out to Swindon in signing Theo Robinson from Watford. Apparently we bid 6 figures but he's chosen Swindon as it's closer to his hometown.

Also a reason we are losing Glenn Murray. Again not ambition. At least it shows that not all players are massive Cashley Coles

True, the point is we don't want players who don't want to be at the Albion. We need a unified happy dressing room. Something I am not sure we have had for sometime but which is needed for a good season.

I think it is obvious we have the location of the club completely wrong any suggestions where we should move to so that we can attract players?

SWINDON TOWN: Hitman Theo is on the way!

WATFORD striker Theo Robinson is expected to become a Town player by the end of the month, the Swindon Advertiser can exclusively reveal.

Three clubs - Town, Southend, and an unnamed League One outfit - are chasing the pacey frontman, but Swindon boss Danny Wilson is believed to be in pole position to land the 20-year-old.

Robinson’s representatives are remaining tight-lipped about any potential deal, but the Advertiser understands County Ground chiefs are well advanced in their negotiations for the youngster, with a fee between £100,000 and £150,000 already agreed that includes future add-ons based on appearances and promotion.

The Birmingham-born player is currently abroad for around two weeks, so while a fee and terms can be agreed between Swindon and Watford, no medical can take place until his return.

Once back in the country, the deal will gather pace and the striker should be a Swindon player by start of pre-season training in July.

Town manager Wilson has already added centre-back Gordon Greer and goalkeeper David Lucas to his ranks - both on free transfers - during the close season, and Robinson will be an impressive third piece in his County Ground rebuilding plans.

Having released frontmen Blair Sturrock, Barry Corr, Ben Joyce and Hamdi Razak at the end of the season, Swindon are left with just Simon Cox and Billy Paynter up top, but the capture of Robinson would provide them with a young player full of pace, power and potential.

His chances at Vicarage Road have been limited following a debut in the Championship against QPR aged just 17. Robinson also played for the Hornets in the Premier League against Newcastle, but has made just six appearances during his time at Vicarage Road.

The youngster spent the 2007/08 season on loan at Hereford, scoring 16 goals as they gained promotion from League Two.

Robinson then notched seven for Southend during a four-month temporary spell at Roots Hall last term.

Watford are currently managerless following Brendan Rodgers’ departure for Reading last week, but sources close to the Hertfordshire-based club claim that will not stop Robinson leaving for Wiltshire.

Danny Wilson obviously likes to get in quick and seal deals, our record in the transfer market does not seem to be improving so far. I see quite a few League One clubs are making signings...do we really not need to worry given the number of players out plus our best player wanting out and the fact that of those we have let it be known we're after have still not signed, and one has gone elsewhere?

I think it fair to say that the way things stand at the moment, we are relegation certainties, even taking into account clubs with points deductions

If anything, it shows a lack of ambition on his part, not ours!

TOWN will fight it out with Brighton to secure the services of Watford striker Theo Robinson, the Swindon Advertiser understands.

Southend, the club who Robinson spent a four-month loan spell at last season, appear out of the running as they cannot match the offers of their League One rivals.

Town and Brighton are understood to have bid £275,000 for the 20-year-old, a significant mark-up on what was initially believed to be a £100,000-£150,000 deal.

But the Robins are thought to be in pole position to land the youngster, who netted seven goals in 20 appearances for Southend in the latter part of last season.

Any deal will not be completed in the next fortnight as the Birmingham-born player is currently abroad.

Having released Blair Sturrock, Barry Corr, Ben Joyce and Hamdi Razak at the end of last season, Swindon are short on striking options.

Simon Cox and Billy Paynter are the only recognised strikers in Danny Wilson’s current squad, with Cox’s future the source of much speculation this summer.

Not a done deal yet but Swindon are favourites to get him, it seems.

Wasn't he the one we had on trial during pre season last season?
And was he the one that scored for Southend against us?

Its funny how he is valued at £100k-£150k one minutem then when moneybags Brighton are invovled, the price goes up to £275k. Then theres Robbie Simpson for £400k. Players becoming over priced with massive mark ups when we are invovled

A sign of things to come for us I guess.

So, has he gone to Swindon, or has he got more sense than that?
