Time for the annual 'enter the Fantasy F1 competition and forget all about it until October' thread. VERY simple to enter, and aimed more at the casual fan than the F1 enthusiast.

The website : http://www.fantasyracers.com

The NSC League Number : 37
Password : fixtures

Same simple rules as last year with a little tweak to the scoring, and the drivers values will fluctuate once the season gets underway. There's a trophy for the best performing league (based on top 5 average) so let's do it.

All free, and you could win yourself an amusing Top Gear T-Shirt if you top the scores on any individual round.

Bourdais confirmed at Toro Rosso for 2009, so all that's left to find out is whether the team formerly known as Honda will be represented on the grid.

The Vatican Speedsters have been dropped after losing top spot after Brazil and coming 2nd by their rutheless owner Roman Abramo....sorry wrong sport............ by his royal pope-ness the Vatican City's No.2 Keeper, and replaced by:

TEAM KUBICA

It is the year of the pole, and I will be at Silverstone to cheer him on.

With it all but confirmed that Button and Barrichello will be in the first race later this month, in the team formerly known as Honda, it's time for another recruitment drive in NSC's mini league.

Yep - back on good old BBC. First race 29th March.

Quite radical rule changes this year, so could lead to some interesting racing.

KERS, Slick Tyres, Restricted Aerodynamics, and a lot of other things I can't think of right now. I'm actually looking forward to it this year, as I expect the field will be a lot closer than previous years. Possibly a bit more overtaking too.

BBC confirm return of The Chain

By Edd Straw Wednesday, February 25th 2009, 11:16 GMT

The BBC has confirmed that it will use the iconic Fleetwood Mac song The Chain as the theme for its Formula One coverage this year.

Since the BBC announced last March that the sport would be returning to its schedule for this year, fans have been calling for the song, recorded in 1976, to make a return. At yesterday's media launch of the corporation's F1 coverage, the BBC revealed that it had opted to revive the iconic theme.

"There has been one enormous issue on all the message boards and that was the question of what music we are going to use," said a BBC spokesman. "Whether it's a surprise or not, we'll leave for you to decide."

The revealing of The Chain drew applause from legendary commentator Murray Walker, who was attending the launch and will play a part in the BBC's coverage.
